Arthur woke up again, his eyes flashing open and in a delayed reaction; he gave a small cry lounging forwards in his bed... His breath was rapid as he looked around nervously, trying to make ends of what just happened... He... He just died from a contractor right...? It was then he looked up, his eyes widening a little as he then scrambled up from his bed. That's right; Ciel flew into his room, telling him Rosalyn didn't wake up... He stood up, looking out the window, hesitantly at first, before he took a deep breath, looking out to the world outside... It... Was normal... Arthur gave a confused expression, as he looked at the normal somewhat cloudy morning sky, linger over the inner villages and palace, people walking around, doing their usual duties in the morning, guards marching around watching over the castle, servants running about doing chores... In the distance, the witch's tower remained standing like a general before its army of the plagued lands... Nothing seemed odd or peculiar about this morning, at least, nothing aside from the normal time loops... So what was that...? A dream...? Arthur glanced down to his hand, catching sight of contract scar on his hand, his eyes narrowing... No...? Then what did happen just now, and why did it happen...?
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
Arthur looked behind him to hear a heavy knocking on his door, a dull look on his face as he turned around. As if by cue, it seemed that Break had appeared at his door once more with his sword, ready to lecture Arthur once more on his lack of consideration for his blade.
"Just a second, I'm getting dressed..." Arthur told Break, deciding that he might as well put his armour on first thing this time round, considering he would be heading out pretty soon. He still seemed a little weary of what happened last time at the tower, his lips stinging with his pride as he gave a deep heartfelt sigh. How irritating...Just as Arthur finished putting his gauntlet's on, there was another set of heavy knocking as Arthur looked to the door, somewhat annoyed with how persistent Break was being today.
"I'm coming..." he stated walking over to the door and opening it with an annoyed smile, his eyes closed a little. "Hello Break..." he began when he heard a small cough soft cough come from before him... Arthur looked down, a little confused, when he found himself met with the face of Princess Ran, who was looking at him with a rather serious expression on her face... For a moment, Arthur just stared at her, sort of daze... Before he then jumped back, almost leaping out of his skin.
"Pr-Pri-Y-Your majesty!!" Arthur cried, both his hands in the air in complete shock, looking at the Princess dumbfounded... Arthur looked to his left, to see Break there, standing with Arthur's sword, just a baffled at Arthur.
"Yes, it is me... I have something I would like to discuss with you Sir Arthur..." Princess Ran stated as Arthur looked to Break awkwardly, his eyes darting from her to him, as Break gave a completely confused expression, shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head as he raised both his hands up. "Sir Arthur...?" Princess Ran then asked again as Arthur flinched, looking back to Princess Ran with a stiff smile.
"Y-Yes, you want to talk with me your majesty?" he repeated her question as Princess Ran looked at Break, who quickly put his arms behind his back, whistling awkwardly, before she then looked back to Arthur with a nod.
"Yes, we have a new person starting ranks today..." she told Arthur, who stopped panicking slightly, his face sort of dropping as he then looked back to Princess Ran confused.
"New person...?" he repeated, double checking with her as Princess Ran nodded in confirmation. Arthur's eyes narrowed a little upon hearing this... This didn't happen usually... Neither Princess Ran being here nor somebody new joining the ranks... B-But ranks, did that mean a new knight beside him and Louise living in the castle?- No he was missing the point here, the point was that this never usually happened... He thought back to his dream, and his eyes glanced to Break once more... If not for Break being here with his sword, he would have automatically assumed that he had somehow broken free from his curse... That Rosalyn had died, and that he had won... But... Not only were Break, and the contract scar on his hand a reminder that Rosalyn would still be alive... But also, he had died back then too... Theoretically, if he had broken the curse, the contractors would not have come for him at all, those were Ciel's words... But then again, what was he doing trusting that bat's words, when the bat was the one working with Rosalyn in the first place... No, coming to think of it, this wasn't the first time, something strange or out of the ordinary had occurred on the morning... Last time, Shannon had come running down to his room to greet him and check if he was okay... Still, this was...
"Sir Arthur...?" Princess Ran then tilted her head as Arthur shook his head, before laughing awkwardly to Princess Ran raising his one hand.
"Sorry, it seems that I got a bad sleep, I'm a little out of it today!" Arthur apologised as Princess Ran at first seemed a little concerned... Before she then nodded.
"I see..." she understood, as Break tutted from beside them both.
"You need to lay off the sweet bread..." he uttered, causing Arthur to frown at him... If only that man knew that he had not eaten sweet bread in ages...
"I want you to look after the new knight, if that would be okay? I tried asking other guards and Sir Louise and I didn't see them suitable for the job..." Princess Ran informed Arthur when she then looked back to him. "They also asked for your help specifically, it seems you were their role model for this job..." Princess Ran then added, sort of making Arthur feel a little shy... So somebody looked up to him huh...? He shook his head vigorously, no no no, he had to snap with it! This was not normal, maybe it was something that had changed after they played with the rule system. Either way, on the first morning of the curse, he was not to meet any sort of new person... Princess Ran then looked down the hallway as some guards began chatting to one another excitedly. "Here they are now..." she stated, catching Arthur's attention as somebody wearing silver armour walked down to the room, a long slender sword hanging from a wooden sheathe attached to their waste. On the handle there was a rose quarts in the centre... Arthur looked to his right, sort of interested to see who the person was, before then his expression dropped... Walking in his direction was a woman dressed in heavy silver armour, with thick shoulder pads. Her chest plate went down to her waist, having small reinforced buckles upon the light steel plating in the centre. The armour came out into a chainmail skirt, the person's legs and arms being covered by the same silver material, with steel boots and gauntlets. Yet it wasn't really the armour that had Arthur utterly bewildered... it was the shockingly long white hair and sharp pink eyes that went with the armour that quickly approached him that had him in shock... The female knight who held a terrifying resemblance to Rosalyn in every single way. As the female guard stood next to Princess Ran, Princess ran held her hand before her, to introduce her.
"This will be the person you are looking after..."Princess Ran stated as the female knight then bowed towards Arthur, just as Break's jaw dropped a little.
"Hello there Sir Arthur, I will be in your care!" the female knight chimed, before then glancing up at Arthur with an eager smile. "I am Lady Rosa, the silver knight, I am happy to make you acquaintance!"
