"Say mama, I met a strange boy today..."

The young girl sat before her mother, who brushed her short bobbed white hair, the girl playing with some straw she had found outside as her mother gave her daughter a curious expression.
"Is that so...?" she inquired as the girl nodded.
"You should know him, one of your charms was on him..." the girl answered as her mother stopped brushing the girl's hair momentarily... And it was after anticipating a response from her mother's silence that the girl found herself shocked to hear her mother chuckling to herself quite suddenly.
"Hmm...? Mama...?" the young girl questioned, looking up to her mother, who seemed to wipe a tear of laughter away from her eye.
"Honestly, to hear such news quite so suddenly... Seems like he really does plan on living up to his promise..." her mother chuckled, her words confusing her daughter a bit.
"Eh?"
"Nothing, nothing, what did you talk about with him...?" the mother then quickly waved away her words, trying not to laugh much more as the girl remained looking at her mother in slight puzzlement... Before she then looked down again, a dull look on her face.
"Nothing much... We spoke about you, but that was it..."the girl mentioned as her mother began brushing her hair again.
"About me?"
"Hmmm..."
"I see..." her mother responded, as she gave a warm smile to her daughter, when she then tilted her head. "Would you like that boy to come round more often? You could make a good friend-" her mother began, when it seemed the young girl began to bundle up a bit more, her daughter becoming quite cold.
"I don't need friends..." her daughter responded, much to the mother's shock.  The young girl kept her eyes to the floor emptily. "I only need you mama...  So long as I have you, I will never need any friends ever..." the girl went on, her words beginning to sadden her mother, who stopped brushing the girl's hair somewhat. This child's world was so small, so enclosed... However it wasn't as though as it was her child's fault, she had been secluded and used so much... It seemed that perhaps it would take quite a bit of effort to free her daughter from her loneliness.  However... Her mother gripped her hand slightly, before she then leaned over and gave her daughter a hug, a calm smile upon her face as her daughter seemed somewhat surprised by her mother's actions.
"Mama...?" she questioned as her mother stroked her head.
"Still won't it be good for you to have real friends to be by. Children your age..." her mother stated, as quickly, the girls softened expression on intrigue, became quite dejected again.
"It won't...  I'm happy like this... I'm happy being with you mama, forever..." the girl explained, as it seemed her mother's expression became a little pained.
"But there's no saying I will be here forever..." her mother then pointed out, as the girl twitched somewhat to her mother's words... "One day I may not be here, and then who will be here for you...?"
"I will have Ciel..." the young girl replied quietly as her mother shook her head.
"Ciel won't be here forever either..." her mother answered as the girl's expression seemed to darken even more. "I just want you to be happy... I want you to have human friends who are your age..."
"Mama... What you are saying is scaring me..." the young girl cut in, catching her mother off guard as her mother backed up a bit... The girl's eyes narrowed faintly. "I'm not allowed to have any other friends anyway..." the girl then pointed out, this statement alone paining her mother somewhat... Did this child really think like that...? The girl then began to stand out, freeing herself from her mother's grasp, when she then looked back to her mother with a rather pained and tearful expression. "So mama... Please don't say such scary things like you will leave me..." the girl pleaded with her mother, who at once, felt all her lectures turn to ash within her mouth, leaving her throat dry. And it was at her own daughter's sadness... Her daughter's loneliness that the mother's expression seemed to match that of her daughters, as she then reached out for her daughter, giving her another large hug to comfort her.
"Of course I wouldn't leave you... I just... I want you to be happy..." her mother stated dryly, as the girl a sad yet warm smile to her mother, hugging her back...
"I'm happy so long as you are with me mama... I will never be lonely or sad when you are here... "Her daughter responded... "So promise me... You will always stay..."
