CLUNK

"Gah!" Arthur cried, shooting up in his bed in shock, his breath rather heavy, just as it had always been recently when he had awoken recently... Though this time, he didn't seem too dazed to see himself back where he was... Much rather he was confused... Why was he alive?
'If just one of us die by the hands of the witch, then that person dies for good, the other wins'
He died, and he was certain he died before Rosalyn... So then, why was he alive... The only reason he should be alive, is if Rosalyn died...  Which would mean...

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK

There came a typical knocking at the door as Arthur looked up to the doorway, a nervous look on his face as he slowly got to his feet. If he was correct, then that would mean that behind this door... Arthur walked over to the door, a little hesitant as he faced it, getting himself mentally ready... Before he then opened the door, bowing his head a little...
"Your majesty..." he uttered with a bow... Only to be greeted with silence... Arthur opened his eyes a little, somewhat confused... Before he suddenly felt a judgemental stare his way which filled him with gloom as he raised his head to see Break standing before him, one eyebrow raised...
"Your majesty?" he quoted Arthur with a partially annoyed expression, Arthur seeming to die a little on the inside as it became clear to him that only Break was here. "Are you being rude?! I knocked on your door that loud to wake your lazy hide up and give you your all new sharpened sword, and you greet me with such sarcasm!" Break started ranting as Arthur sighed, looking down a little depressed.
"Sorry I got you confused with somebody else..." he uttered as Break looked at him, before flicking his nose up at Arthur.
"Well maybe I got the owner of this sword confused..." he went on as Arthur twitched at his words.
"I'm being serious, I'm half awake, cut me a break I...- I did not mean to make a pun there!" Arthur's words trailed off as Break glared at him sharply, before handing Arthur his sword.
"I don't know why I put up with you so much..." Break tutted, shaking his head and crossing his arms as Arthur took his sword, looking down to it, trying not to let his utter confusion show too much... He was certain that Princess Ran would be there with Break, ready to introduce Rosalyn again... If Rosalyn died, then time would have to restart the way it had been doing so... Those were her words... So where was she now? Arthur looked back to break who seemed to be awaiting some sort of thank you, before he gave a serious look to Break.
"Break, did you hear of the new female knight in the barracks?" Arthur inquired, Break taking a few moments to just stare at Arthur... Before he then patted Arthur head...
"You sleeping alright? You seem to be having some weird dreams..." Break mentioned, amidst Arthur's feeling of being patronised there being a large sensation of anxiety to Break's confirmation of his fears... Rosa the knight did not exist here... At least it didn't seem like it... "You need to lay off the sweet bre-"
"I haven't eaten sweet bread in almost two weeks, don't mock me!" Arthur then scolded Break, Break jumping back in a little bit of bewilderment... Before he then frowned at Arthur.
"That seems as believable as you keeping your sword sharp for more than a week..." Break then stated, Arthur instantly knowing that in Break's mind, that meant unbelievable...

"Sir Arthur, her majesty wishes to see you in her throne room..." General Rudcliff appeared round the corner of the hallway, catching both of the men's attention, before Break then sighed, scratching the back of his head.
"Duty calls... Look, just do me the favour of keeping your sword sharp, at least for a month or so, the way you bring it back looking so battered makes me want to cry for it..." Break then explained, Arthur looking back down to his sword... That was something that he couldn't really promise... It was then something caught Arthur's eye on the sword... That being the Iscara stone within it, looking its usual shade of blue, as though it had not lost a fragment of power... B-But it did loose it's power last battle... Did this mean that the crystal was also victim to the time swaps just like the rest of them...? Arthur remained staring at the stone unsure... For some reason, he had just assumed that it would not be affected by such things, just like the plagued lands and most other magical things he had encountered...  "Say Arthur...?" Break inquired, tilting his head as Arthur then looked up, going to walk back into his room to get ready.
"I'm going to get dressed. Thanks for sharpening the sword Break, I can always count on you..." Arthur then stated, going to walk indoors as Break folded his arms with a nod.
"You bet you can, though if your sword gets into the same state it was in, I will turn it into a shovel..." Break then went on, as Arthur nodded, closing the door on him.
"Noted" he replied...
