Father had gone off in search of Lucas and Mother had disappeared. Lina and I were back in my bedroom, lying on the bed. Lucas was probably off patrolling the grounds. That quickly we had all distributed to different parts of the castle.

It almost seemed like everything had gone back to normal. Father was off in search of someone, mother was tending to something or someone, Lina and I were doing . . . well . . . nothing, and Lucas was on duty.

After a little while, I heard a knock on the door. Line looked at me, promptly informed me that she wouldn't answer, and pushed she out of my bed. I got up, walked out of the bedroom, across the living room, and came to a stop in front of the door leading into my suit.

"Who is it?" I yelled in a quite unladylike fashion.

"Your father and Lucas." Comes the answer.

I open the door and let them in. Father and Lucas walk in just a Lina came strolling out of my bedroom. Lina grinned at Lucas, who frowned back. It seems that Lucas hadn't been patrolling, but was instead looking for Lina again.

We all sat down in my lounge, and talked it over. Father and Lina were both telling Lucas things. Father reminded him of his duties to protect and carry me, and not to interfere. This was journey was not for him, he was just meant to accompany, not participate, unless asked to do so. He agreed and promised to do as father instructed. Lina gave him a condensed version of what we found and also showed him the book. Per usual, he seemed to be unruffled.

After all the points had been cleared up, the preparations began. I was given a necklace full of diamonds, and a hair band too. Mother wanted to make sure I was equipped for every situation. Be that balls, or hunting. Everything was there.

. . . . . . . . . .

Maybe I should explain something about fey clothing. All of our clothes are made out of a special fabric that can transform into crystals. These are then often worn by women in jewelry and such. All I then had to do, was take a crystal and will it into existence. Or when I wanted it to disappear, I just had to will it out of existence.

There really wasn't any other way to explain it. You wanted it to disappear, and it disappeared. Imagine it like this: You pick up a crystal, look into it to see what outfit it was, hold it in your hand, and ask it to appear. Then it just appears, usually on your body, but you can also direct it to appear in front of you instead.

There is also a grey crystal that is usually embedded into a belt. These grey crystals don't produce clothes (only the clear ones do that). Instead, they produce weaponry, armor etc.. I also received one of these.

Then there was one more type of these crystals, which have a golden colour. These crystals were quite well known, well used, and likes. Why? Because they produced food. But not just any kind. It was a specialized type of food that transformed into whatever taste the person eating it wanted. Luckily, one of these crystals could create a whole lot of them, and just one of these can keep you fed just like a normal meal would.

Enchanted Crystals (or EC for short) were usually kept to travelers, royalty (because they travel quite a lot) and guards / warriors. They weren't used very much anyway. It was too much of a hassle looking into the crystals and sorting through them until you found the outfit you liked. It was much easier to just have all the clothes in the closet and see them all spread out in front of you.

. . . . . . . . . .

There wasn't that much activity. This wasn't a big deal, and meant to be kept from the majority of the population. It wasn't secret, but we didn't want it to be broadcast. But knowing the citizens, it probably would be known pretty soon anyway.
