Melanie's POV

Josh had moved here almost right after school ended last year, so this would be his first week attending. However this was my first day back, and since my only friend happened to not be with me, he was my second best option. I didn't ask where he moved from or why, possibly because a small part of me knew it wasn't particularly going to be a great answer considering his reputation. And also because I didn't feel like getting to know anyone more than what I can glean from observing them.

For example: Josh Dun. Judging by his black sweatshirt in this considerably humid weather, must either be hiding something underneath the long sleeves like tattoos, etc, or he may have a self confidence problem and feels the need to hide his body under baggy clothing. Another option is that he may just be incredibly unadapted to our climate and be used to something extremely warmer, probably where he moved from. However his hands and face would be quite tanner if he was from somewhere hot, and he's been living here almost three months so it isn't adaptability. I don't think he has a self confidence problem, as he's very cocky and approached Tyler and me before we talked to HIM. So probably tattoos. Which doesn't surprise me to be honest.

To continue...

As we walk from 1st period biology to our shared AP English, I look into his eyes. Not longingly or any of that sort of thing, but just to see what's in there. What is going on inside his head? Is it like Tyler's? Twisted but somehow he manages to hide it? No, he doesn't seem like that sort of a person. The brown irises aren't dark and empty, as I had expected them to be, but full of ecstasy and just pure happiness. Josh radiates innocence, even though what he has done within his 18 years of life has been anything but. Although he does what he does, Josh is still lovely. In personality and complexion, he is just a very adoring person.

Tyler and Josh are polar opposites. Tyler's outer appearance is very ordinary, however inside it's a different story altogether. And Josh is very unique in his sense of style, with nose rings and dyed hair, yet the entirety of his being is blissful. Not that Tyler isn't a joy to be around, but I'm almost 100% sure Josh is not like him in any way.

I told Josh all about what's happened to TyJo, and he took it all in before taking my hand in his and staring me in the eye, "Melanie, I would never hurt Tyler. Ever. So don't you worry about that. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to not knowing Tyler and you, so I've kind of dragged myself into the equation. And with that being said; I would like to visit Tyler."

To which I replied, "I know I'm a bit of an emotional wreck, but I'm still not a complete twat. What the hell are you thinking? Who knows what sort of views he has of you?! He does have amnesia and he may only remember certain aspects of you like how you're a gang member and have been to juvie. That wouldn't exactly be the best situation to throw two dangerous teenagers in."

"I'm dangerous?"

"To Tyler's raging hormones." I wink, but quickly draw back realizing that at the moment talking like that was not appropriate.

Shaking his head, Josh allowed himself to grin a bit, "We'll see when we get there."

"When are we going?"

Checking his watch as we enter the classroom, Josh sighs, "As much as you want to believe I'm some rebel, I don't skip class especially in my first week at a new school. But thanks."

"I wasn't suggesting we skip."

"You were giving off a vibe. Now hush. We can go after school I've got a car."

Tyler's POV

The plan was slightly shaky, I must admit lots of it was illegal, and I don't think it'll work. However it's what I have to do to save myself from this hell. So it's my plan.
