After having 3 shots I went to turn on the movie. I wasn't even drink yet or anywhere close, although I don't know if human me would be either. Damon had taken to drinking the bourbon without the Coke as he popped the popcorn into the microwave. I grabbed the licorice and strawberries along with a glass of blood and set them on the bedside table. He pulled back the covers and say down with grace. I got closer to him and waited for the movie to start. I was so comfortable and everything seemed right. I sipped the blood and ate the popcorn with him. The movie was beginning to get kind of scary. I hated clowns so this movie was bound to terrify me. I scooted a little scolded to him trying to get away from the edge of the bed. I heard him give a soft chuckle at the movement so crossed my arms and scooted as far away from him as I could. I was sitting on the edge of the bed when he pushed me off.
"ahh!" I screamed as I tumbled onto the floor "Damon I'm going to kill you!"
He simply laughed at me but for some reason the sound of his laughter made me smile and I gave up the tough act.
"Shut up and hold me." I said when a little girl got killed on the screen. His arm wrapped around my shoulders and I rested my head on his shoulder. I sunk into his embrace and let my eyes droop closed. My hand was on his chest when I felt his hand hand cover mine. I didn't stop him. I couldn't anymore. I fell asleep in his arms.

When I woke Damon was standing by the little table in our hotel room. He grabbed a cup and brought it over to me. In it was the red liquid that I now needed to survive.
"Thank you." I said with a yawn.
"No problem sleeping beauty." He gave me a cheeky grin as I downed the glass and got up to get ready for the day in the bathroom. When I came back out he was packing his stuff and I decided to do the same. At about 9:00 am we were ready to leave.
"You wanta go home or stay for the day?" He asked when we got in the car.
"I wanta go home." I said tiredly.
"Mystic falls it is."
After about 10 minutes I got bored and turned on the radio. Michael Jackson was on so turned it up. Billie Jean was a song my mom used to live so I new it well. To be honest I knew a lot of his songs. Damon gave me a weird look as I sang along but eventually he sang along too.
I laughed pretty much the whole way home. He told me jokes, stories and acted like his usual self. I liked this Damon the best. It was the most fun. J could tell he was having fun too because he was cracking up too. The ride home seemed too short and I wished it could've lasted longer. I climbed out of the car and walked into my house. Damon followed behind me carrying my small bag.
"I'm home!" I yelled, waiting for someone to greet me. After a minute Jeremy came running down the stairs and he hugged me tightly. I could feel the blood pumping through his veins which is what made me pull away. Rick came down the stairs shortly after Jeremy.
"Hey" I said as he hugged me.
"How've you been doing?" He asked giving me his best dad impression.
"Fine, so far." I flashed a smile to make him believe my lie. Without Damon as a distraction I wasn't sure if I would be okay.
"Elena, I gotta go, but I'll be back later." Damon said from behind me.
I nodded and leaned forward to give him a hug. The gesture seemed simple but I got glances from both Jeremy and Alaric. I just walked past them and up the stairs.
"I'm just gonna put my stuff away." I didn't wait for a response as I was half way up the stairs.
I pulled my clothes out of my bag and put them in the dirty pile. I sat on the edge of the bed and grabbed my diary. I hadn't written in it for a while so I decided now would be a good time.
Dear diary,
So I've just transitioned into being a vampire with the help of Damon. He's been distracting me from from the seriousness of the situation, which I'm extremely grateful for. We went on a little road trip that only lasted a day. Stefan betrayed me though. He tricked me into thinking I could trust him but really he was just working for Klaus. I haven't heard from him since. Bonnie and Caroline have left lots of messages on my phone that I better answer. Xoxo,
Elena
I closed my diary and pulled out my phone, dialing Caroline's number. She answered on the first ring.
"Oh my god! Elena? Where are you?" Caroline asked.
"I'm home. Sorry I didn't call earlier I've just been...busy."
"Don't ever leave like that again. Especially not with Damon!" I sighed at the typical comment.
"Damon would never hurt me or anything like that."
"He we asked his way into your b...."
I cut her off before she could finish.
"On another note hows Bonnie?" I asked.
"She's right here beside me."
"Hey Bonnie."
"Elena are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine other than being a vampire." I chuckled but Bonnie's tone became serious.
"I'm sorry that I couldn't save you. I know you didn't want to be a vampire. I ..I should've tried harder"
"No Bonnie you did your best. I'll be okay I just need some time." I heard her sniffle on the other end.
"Yeah, yeah of course. Let me know if you need anything."
"Will do bye." I said before hanging up.
She took that surprisingly well considering her hatred of vampires. Maybe she's getting over it. By now the burning in my throat stared to intensify. I needed blood, and I needed soon.
