Haruka x reader - carnival

hi! i know it's not even christmas but i got this idea so hope ya like it

btw rin has nothing to do in this x reader lol 

IKIMASHYO!

" yn, are you sure this is a good idea?" Haru asked as you pulled him excitedly in the direction of the bright colorful lights.

It was a chilly night in December. However, the weather was just perfect for you. A soft wind blew and snowflakes landed on your eyelashes, reminding you that you were just one night away from Christmas.

" Of course it is!" you said, grinning widely. " Slow down, yn." Haru said, eyes softening as he saw your bright smile. " No way!" you said, pretending to be surprised. Then your shocked expression turned to a serious one. " Soldier Haru, there's no time to loose! Run!" Haru understood your Hotaru no haka* reference and that made a small smile tug at his thin lips that were slightly blue from the cold.

So if rollercoasters aren't your style you can choose the games part :3

The Christmas Carnival was the most colorful place on Christmas Eve. The game booths were decorated with plushies of all sizes and there were cotton candy booths that sold the fluffy candy in pink, blue, purple and orange. As you stepped through the gates of the carnival, Haru looked into your (e/c) eyes, however your gaze was directed towards the gigantic Ferris wheel that was decorated with green and red flashing lights.

 Anime openings blasted from loud speakers (They legit do that and I love it) and you could hear the distinct sound of people chattering happily. You clutched the tickets tightly in your hand, totally ready to blow them all on the scariest rides/funnest games. <--Like here you get to choose.

" Haru? Haru!" his gaze snapped down to your smiling face. " You were spacing out." You said. He wiped a snowflake off your cheek with his thumb and smiled slightly. " Wanna try that game/ride over there?" you asked, pointing. Haru looked where you pointed. " Me too!" you said happily, not waiting for a reply. " Let's go then!"

~Time skip~

Haru sat on the dragon shaped bench next to the Kingyo-sukui**.

If you chose rides, this is for you

Still panting slightly, he looked at you. " No, yn, no more rides. We rode most of them already." " But we still have two rides left!" you pleaded. " Yeah, I know, but we only have three tickets now. We can only ride one more ride." Haru said, stressing on the 'we'. 

There were only 3 tickets left so after a ride together you would either ride the last ride alone, because Haru didn't want to, or just call it a day and leave. He nodded towards your pocket, and you took the tickets out. " Dammit." You muttered, glancing at the ticket booth. It was closed.

Then you glanced at the two remaining rides. To the right was the Ferris wheel. To the left was the Negative G Force free fall – the tallest ride in Japan. Both were only found at Christmas. You found yourself heading towards the Ferris wheel. It was nice to have some peace and quiet with Haru to end the day.

" No way, loser." Haru said, smirking down at you. " Let's not be cheesy." He steered you towards the Negative G Force Free Fall. " After all, who likes sitting for ten minutes doing nothing but seeing the carnival from above?" You looked at him, surprised. Haru raised his eyebrows. " But again, who would want to feel like they're jumping from a building?" Haru said and looked up at the 351-foot tall ride. You grinned, excitement rising in your heart. " Me." You said, quickening your pace towards the tallest ride in Japan.

" Yn, you have so many prizes you can hardly carry them." Haru said, his face hidden behind the giant Pikachu doll he was holding. Actually, the prizes weren't yours. Haru had won them. But because he loved you and all he needed was to see you smile, he gave them to you. He didn't have thing for these furry things anyway.

" Haru, we have three tickets left." You said. " We can play one normal game and one boring game, or we can play one fun game." " Wait, yn. I'm tired. I've been holding this thing for two hours at least and I can barely see where I'm walking." You shrugged, almost dropping one of the many plushies you were holding. " wanna swap?" " No thanks." Haru cringed at the pile of penguin, unicorn and pokemon plushies you had in your arms. He wished he could help you carry them but he couldn't. 

" Haru!" he heard your voice. He peeked out from behind the Pikachu. " Play this one with me!" you yelled, pointing to a game he couldn't see clearly. " Fine, fine, I'm coming." He said, standing up, almost tripping over a small kid that was staring up at the Pikachu.

" What game is it?" Haru groaned and put the Pikachu on the counter next to the plushies you put there. He was tired and he wasn't in the mood for another game. " You have to use the water guns to shoot water into the clowns mouth. Then the balloon will fill up and if it pops within the limited time, then you get that. Don't worry, it's very, very, very easy to win!" The guy at the counter said, pointing at the giant blue dolphin hanging from the wall. 

You knew it was difficult. Games like these were rigged. They always were. And you knew Haru knew it too. " Maybe we should just-" You started uncertainly but Haru smirked confidently. " Of course it's easy. I know"

In the end, you guys staggered home from the carnival with your arms full of colorful plushies, a 5 ft. 5 pikachu, and a 6 ft dolphin.

This was surely one Christmas Eve to remember.

*Hotaru no Haka is a movie about a brother and a sister ;) watch it :D it's a vv amazing movie. It's animation :D you guys should definitely watch it

**Kingyo-sukui is a very popular game in Japan. It's a tank of water with small goldfish in it, and players have to use a paper scooper called 'poi' to scoop up goldfish. Because it's made out of paper, it breaks easily, and the fish struggle pretty hard, so it's very hard to scoop up the fish. But you get to keep all the ones you are able to scoop up successfully. There are orange, white and black goldfish. (Most of the time when my older brother plays it he can get one or two without breaking the poi, but I can only get like... none)

Lol fun fact-

The most popular food in the Christmas carnival is the 2x2 feet fall cotton candy xD I eat it every year with my brother;) you should try it if you get a chance you'll love it, and if you don't like sweet stuff, try grilled squid on a stick :D the only difference between this one and the normal one is that you have to win this one. You have to catch a live fish with your bare hands (remember nagisa wanted makoto to do it?) and if you are able to catch it you get the 1-foot long squid. yumyum but very hard to win
