I was furious at Robin. How could he hide the fact that someone else knew I was pregnant?

I strongly opened the door and stepped into his house. He was sitting on the couch, with a can of beer in his hand. He was looking blankly at the door.

"Robin! We seriously need to talk. Right now." He looked at me.

"I agree." He replied seriously.

"I know why Roy beat you up. He knew I was pregnant. You knew all this. Why didn't you tell me? Do you know how hurt I am?! You lied to me! Right in my face! You hid this from me!"

"So I'm the one who's been lying here? I'm the one who's hiding things?" He pulled up a negative pregnancy test. I was speechless. He was speechless. Everything was happening so fast.

"I didn't tell you Roy knew because I didn't want you to worry. You were already in so much stress. Anyway, who cares if Roy knows or not? He's not telling anybody! But this?" He pointed to the test. "How could you hide this from me?"

"I didn't really think that mattered..."

"What? Do you realize that this affects me too? That I could be a father?!" He was standing up and shouting.

"Well, you didn't look very affected by it!"

"You gotta be kidding me! You're unbelievable! How could I not be affected by this! I cried, ok? Not in front of you but I cried. A lot. I was worried. I couldn't sleep. But I was being strong for you. Everything I did was for you."

"I-I'm sorry. I really don't know why I didn't tell you...I just wanted to be sure before I raised any hopes up. I mean, one test was positive, the other one was negative...I didn't know what to believe."

"Still, how could you hide this from me?" He couldn't even look at me. "Seriously, Mary." His eyes were shiny, as if he were about to cry, but he didn't. I did.

"I'm sorry. I really am." I squeaked, my voice broke.

"No! You gotta stop being so...so...innocent! You're not the only one who's been suffering! You lied to me! You hid this from me! Nothing's gonna change what you did!" There was a long pause. His words were strongly sinking in. He sat down, took a sip from his beer and stared at the wall. "I don't feel like I can trust you anymore."

"You said you loved me." I sobbed. But he looked down to the floor and swallowed. I pressed my eyes hard, hoping this was just a horrible nightmare. I grabbed my purse and silently closed the door behind me. Then I dialed Aby's number.

"Aby, I had a huge fight with Robin. I'll tell you all about it later. Can I please spend the night at your house?"
