A week had already passed since my fight with Robin. I had bought a pregnancy test but I hadn't taken it yet. I was in front of Robin's house. I rang the bell.
"Hey." He said sadly when he saw me.
"Hi. Robin, I know you're still mad at me and you have every right to be. But there is something we need to know." I took out a pregnancy test from my purse. "I wanted to do this with you."
"You're right. Come in." I sat down on his couch. The room was surprisingly clean and tidy.
"Would you like a glass of water?"
"Yes, please." He brought me the glass and sat next to me.
"Listen. I'm really sorry. I made a mistake and I seriously regret it."
"I get it. I'm not that mad now. The truth is that I also kept things from you. We both did. But our intentions were to protect each other. So I get it. I know how you felt and why you did it."
"Wow. I didn't expect that."
"Yeah, honestly, me neither."
I went to the bathroom and did everything I needed to do.
"I can't look at it." I whispered to Robin. He gently took it and whispered "oh my god." His mouth opened in amusement. His eyes shining. He took my hand and squeezed it.
