Monday came along.
I shut my locker after gathering all the books I needed for my first period. Some I placed inside my bag cause what's the use of brining a bag without using it and the other books are safely tucked in my arms.Making my way through the crowded hallway.
I had to squeeze in between some people since there is no more space.
I should notify Principal Parker this. Since most of the students love to hang out in the hallway.
The science lab is on the other side of the school so it gave me more time to think.
My eyes then fixed on a piece of paper in our bulletin board. 'Spring ball' it says in bold letters. I cursed under my breath.
Taking a mental note for myself to have a meeting with the council. Only a week to prepare.
I was suddenly pulled back by the heaviness of my bag.
My feet stumbled a bit but they manage to stay in balance from all the impact.
I furrowed my eyebrows as I was about to face my bully. "Hey byotch!" Marianne greets.
I rolled my eyes. "Do you really have to do that?" I pursed my lips and fix the sling of my bag.
"Yup! You were so deep in thought that even my hand that was waving in front of you can't seem to pull you back to earth." Marianne grabbed an apple from her sling bag and took a big bite from it.
"I was just thinking about spring ball." I shrug. Marianne and I had the same class. One of my favorite subjects.
She nodded as she took another big bite from her Apple. "Did anybody ask you out to the dance?"
She opens her mouth widely, giving me the view of the poor apple being crushed into pieces.
I looked at her in disgust. "No. Not that I know of and besides I don't need a man to rescue me."
We almost reach our room.
"Well you need a man to fulfill your needs." I face her in confusion.
She laughed while shaking her head in amusement.
What's so funny? What needs?
Suddenly it dawned on me what she meant about that.
My mouth open in horror. "What?! Ew! Gross. No way!" She guffawed loudly.
Her hands clutched her sides.
I smacked her in the head. "Your nasty!" With that I went inside the room, leaving Marianne laughing hysterically.
I sat in front so that Marianne would not annoy me with her gruesome jokes.
She entered the class and sat at the back.
I know she would only be dozing off.
Science bores her.
Now that I have nobody to talk to and the teacher hasn't arrive yet.
I glance to my side and saw a boy with brown hair.
He was reading a fictional book, I guess.
He was wearing rimmed glasses, reminding me of a nerd. I recalled his name in my head. Christian.
"Hey. Christian, right?" His head hastily whirl in my direction. I was afraid he might break it.
Christian nodded his head and a small blush creeps to his cheeks. "I'm Melissa."
"I know!" He blurts out.
I nod my head, awkwardly.
He realizes what he did and another blush came to his cheeks. "I-I mean. Who wouldn't know? Y-Your'e the student president." He stutters.
That's cute.
We talked for a bit and I notice that his shy and tense state was now relaxed. He was sweet and kinda cocky.
He actually reminds me of someone. Someone I've recently met somewhere.
"What are you reading?" I study the book he was reading.
"It's Hamlet by Shakespeare." Christian flicks his eyes to the book then to me.
I was going to ask him more about it but our teacher, Mr. Rances step inside the room.
His hair was a bit mess.
"Good morning class! Sorry for being late." He place his books on the teacher's table and started his lecture.
On my peripheral view I saw Christian sighed. Weird.
