                          •••

My phone rang. It lights up in my pocket.

I hastily grab it and turn it off but luck was not on my side today.

My phone dropped

"Shit." I cursed.

The two boys looked in my way.

"Well. It seems that we have company here."  The boy selling drugs says, his deep voice was filled with amusement.

"Oh! Are you here to join in the fun?" The boy who was on drugs laughed, crazily.

He was very, very high.

He then stalk towards me but the drugs must have kicked in because he was walking like a drunkard.

That gave me a chance to escape and before he could walk closer I bolted out there.

I ran away from there.

Not looking back for my dear life.

I made turns that I don't  know where they would take me but as long as I can get away from them.

I was breathing heavily. Heart beats fast in my chest.

I scanned for an exit.

Another footsteps echo on the tiles and as instincts I sprint as fast as I could. The footsteps faded but not for long.
I ran and turn, turn and ran.

Anywhere far from that psycho.

Turning to the left, someone collides into me.

I look up to see that it was Blake. Thank God. "Blake help me please!" I utter.

"And what would I get in return?" His smug face makes me want to punch him but not now. Maybe later.

Looking behind me I can hear the bad guy's footsteps again.

My mind was jumbled.

Thinking of bad things going to happen when he catches me.

"Anything you want! Just please help me!" I cried in panic.

"Deal. Get in."He opens a locker and made me hide there.

It was small but I still fitted but now I didn't care.

No one would notice me here.

As the bad guy approaches, I held my breath, afraid that he might hear it.

He was panting. "Yow Blake. Did you see a girl pass by here?" He says through heavy breaths.

I silently prayed to God that Blake won't tell him where I was.

'Lord please let him save me from the bad guy. I promise I won't give him detention.'

"What girl? A brunette girl wearing a red ribbon on her hair? Sorry man. I didn't." Blake states, casually.

Seriously?! Wouldn't the guy notice what he just said?!

I face palmed. God. Stupid move! The guy, luckily didn't notice the slip Blake made because of his dull condition.

"Why are you looking for her anyway?" Blake must have leaned on the locker I was in since it made a sound. "I don't know. See ya around man." He was leaving. Thank God!

"Wait. I did saw her come this way." My eyes widen. Blake! Oh no. "Where?"

I closed my eyes waiting for the locker to open. "She went that way."

From the little openings on the locker, I saw his hand point to the other direction. My erratic heart started to calm down.

"Thanks bro." With that he went to the way Blake pointed out and he disappeared along with his footsteps.

Blake knocks on the locker, telling me that he was gone for good. I opened the locker's door.

Instinctively,I jumped to Blake.

"Thank you! Thank you!" I hugged him tightly. He raises his arms in defense.

"Woah! Okay, okay. No need to throw yourself to me. You can just ask if you want to have a quickie." He wiggled his eyebrows as I let him go.

"Whatever." I say, disgusted.

"So who was that? Trouble in paradise?" He wipes the imaginary dirt from his shoulders as if I have cooties.

I rolled my eyes.

He doesn't have to know what happened. It's none of his business so I simply said,
"Yeah something like that."

I fix my uniform since it was wrinkled because of running and my hair was a mess.

"Since I helped. I want something in return." A sly smirk was stapled on his mouth. "Okay. But not something that I don't like."

I crossed my arms.

He chuckled. "Babe, did you forget what you just said a moment ago? I'm sure you're not dumb." I recalled what I said.

'Anything you want!'

I grumbled. "But I was-" he cut me off.

"Say no more. So here's what I want you to do. I'm failing my science class and my parents would take my motorbike away from me if I don't pass this semester." He trailed off.

"I don't like where this is heading." I commented.

He laughs. "I want you to go inside the computer lab and sneak into Mr. Rances grading and change my failing grade into something satisfactory like C+ or B- or something even better, A+" He smiled, evilly.

"Do I look like a nerd to you? I can't even open a computer!" I scoffed in annoyance.

"Not my problem. As long as you do it before next Saturday." He walks off.

I eyed his back in disbelief.

Who does he think he is? Dirtbag.

I walked away.
