16. Heart-To-Heart With Ash, Nightmares, and Being Unpredictable

When a girl says, 'Go away . Leave me alone', they really mean stay and I want you here. But in this case, I don't know if I want Ashton to stay or to go. I really don't want him to see me like this, in this weak and vulnerable position. Aliana was right, Tony was no good.

"Mik shhh it's okay." Ashton moved closer and sat ok the edge of the bed, slowly rubbing my back. My mom used to do that to get my to calm down or to sleep. It is working, the tears are ceasing to fall.

"A-Ashton I-I'm S-Sory."

"It's not your fault love. Who ever did this to you, I will hurt them for making you like this. Now please sit up and look at me." I did what he asked and slowly turned around. He slowly brought his hands up to my face, cupping my cheeks and rubbing. "Hmmm?" I know what he meant. He wants to know what happened. He removed his hands, only to hold my own hands.

"M-my boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend texted me last night asking to Skype today, so we did." I paused looking at his face for the first time, locking eye contact. "He s-said he loved me and missed me. He asked me to comeback and we could live together." A look of, almost pain, flashed in his eyes. "B-but he cheated on me. He cheated on me with a slut! She used to be my best friend at a time. That hurts. That really hurts Ashton! I just-" The tears started free falling this time, and I couldn't stop them. "He said he loved me Ashton!" I sobbed crying into his chest, while he wrapped his arms protectively around me.

"Shhhh love. It's ok Mik. If I ever see this guy, I will hurt him. No one will make you feel like this again. Yea?"

"Thank you ash." He kissed the top of my head. I pulled away and peered into his eyes.

"How about a movie yea?"

"Sure, you pick. Ill go make popcorn." I ran downstairs and put 2 bags in the microwave and dumped them into a bowl when they were finished. I ran back up stairs," So what are we watching?" I said plopping down on my bed and making myself comfortable, Ashton doing the same.

"Hercules. My favorite."

"Yay! I haven't seen Hercules in ages." I said snuggling into his chest.

Halfway thru the movie I felt my eyes growing heavier and heavier, until I finally fell into dream land.

"Baby. Baby. I love you. Stay with me. Don't leave me." He said slowly. It sounds like he's coming from everywhere.

"WHERE ARE YOU? Leave me alone! Please!" I sobbed covering my ears and slowly sinking to the ground. "P-please!"

"Never. You are mine Mia. You will never leave me."

"AGH! Stop it! Leave me alone!" I scream.

"Never."

"Mik! Mik! Mik wake up!" Why am I shaking? Whose calling me? "Mia, your having a nightmare! Wake up." Huh?

"A-Ashton?" I slowly open my eyes to be greated by a beautiful face and a dark room. I sat up and looked at Ashton with a questionable face.

"Are you ok? You were tossing and turning, moaning and groaning, then you started to cry and you screamed out. What happened?" He said wrapping his arms around me.

"I- I was in a dark place I couldn't see anything." I sobbed. "He was everywhere! He wouldn't leave me!"

"Who?"

"Tony. My ex boyfriend." He pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back.

"Shhh it's ok." I pulled away and looked into his eyes.

"Thank you Ashton." He gave me a genuine smile.

"Do you want to order some Chinese or something? Siri and Dave both have to work late so.."

"Yea sure sounds good!"

"Thank you Ashton for being here for me. Thank you for staying with me." I say while swinging his hands back and forth.

"Hey, it's no problem. I had alot of fun."


"Me too, well except from the drama part." We giggled. He lent down and kissed me on the cheek.

"I'll see you tomorrow Mik."

"Bye!" I was about to turn around and close the door, but it looks like Ashton wasn't finished.

"Mik, I will always be here for you. Remember that, please."

"I will." He walked away, and I closed the door and went upstairs. I plopped on my bed. Wow. Who knew this would happen. You can never tell whats going to happen to you.
