26. A Dark Time, Cherry Vodka, and The Party That Ruined It All

Darkness.

Sleep.

Depression.

Sad.

The things I felt as the tears streamed down my face.

But no more.

I heard my bedroom door creak open.

"Mia. Please get up. Mia! You can't escape what's happened! You need to face it! I know it's hard but you have to!"

"Just leave me alone Aliana." I said, my voice cracking from its lack of moisture.

My throat is dry. My eyes are crusty. My hair is in tangles, hanging around my shoulders. I'm still dressed in the same tights and top from the other night.

The night where my world seemed to just stop. The night where I could literally feel my heart rip in two and be stomped on.

One week. It's been exactly one week.

We've been together 5 months, me and Ashton that is. Its been the best five months of my life. Barely any fighting and just pure bliss.

We've been on countless dates, had sleepovers with the boys and Ali. We've caused ruckus in school. We even helped the boys fix up their YouTube account and post a couple of videos.

I felt like I was on the top of the world, but that fell down sooner than expected.

What exactly happened, you ask?

I was in love, and this is how my world came tumbling down. How my own paradise was ripped out from under my own two feet.

"Well..." I clicked my tongue. "You remember Marco Kainbridge right?"

"Yea."

"Well, he's throwing this big first day of Winter party on Friday and I was invited and he says you guys could come."

"So, what do u wanna know Mia?"

"Well, I was wondering if you might possibly want to go?"

"Mik. I don't know. I'm not sure if I like Marco."

"Please babe! What could possibly go wrong?"

"Ummm fine. Now gimme a kiss!" He said tackling me into the couch. Giggles and shrieks filled the room.

What could possibly go wrong?

Everything.

I rolled my eyes replying, "You can never be late for a house party! We'll be down in a minute." I heard groaning come from behind the door, then feet slamming against the stairs.

"Ok Mia. How do I look?"

"Oh Ali! You look incredible! Your eyelashes tho girl! Kill 'em!" She burst into a fit of giggles.
