30. Run, Stars, and Face To Face.

I ran as fast as I could.

I ran through the crowd.

I always do this.

I always run.

I don't have to run this time tho.

I could just stop.

I could let him catch up with me.

But I won't.

I can't.

But I could.

I ran out of the back of the crowd. I turned my head slightly and saw everyone staring at me. And Him running too.

But I kept running.

I ran into the back of the house, and out to the front yard.

"Oh my god." I said, struggling to catch my breath.

"MIK! MIK PLEASE!" I heard him getting closer. I quickly ducked against the side of the house, squatting behind a bush so he couldn't see me.

"Mik? Mik are you out here?" Silence. "Damn it! Mik. Mik please." I heard him yell. He sounded like he was going to cry. "Oh Mik. I love you. I always have. Why do you have to run? Why must I be such an idiot? Why? I hate myself for doing this to you." He looked up towards the stars, "Oh Mik, every night I would look up to the stars and think of you. They made me so happy. They reminded me of you. I split you up amongst the stars so you would never die, you made them more beautiful." By now he was completely sobbing.

What should I do?

"Damn it Mik!" He yelled turning around, but stopping, staring right at me.

"Mik?" He gaped. "Mik, you heard that? Mik answer me, please?" He said moving closer to me, squatting in front of me.

I pushed myself closer to the wall.

"Mik?" He said, bringing a hand close to my face, me flinching. "No. No no no. Please Mik. Did you hear what I just said before? I thought you weren't here. I thought you left." He dropped his hand. "Mik I meant every single thing I said. Mik I have always loved you. I always will. What I did was completely stupid. I don't even know why I did it honestly. But that girl, she was my ex from a long time ago. I hated her. She was always mean and she could never compare to you."

"A-Ashton." His name felt foreign on my tongue, causing me to abruptly stand up. "Please just give me space." I said putting my hands up.

"Y-yea. Sure sure." He said backing up a little. I moved away from him and sat on the front steps, him following behind me like a lost puppy dog. "Space." He scooted away from me, again.

"Mik. I'm so-."

"Stop. Just stop."

"What? Mik-."

"Ashton. Let me breath. Please. Let me think." I pleaded.

"O-okay."

"Why?"

"What?"

"Why did you do it?"

"I have no idea Mik. I was drunk and stupid and she was there. I regret every single minute of it. Honestly. I'm so sorry. I just want you back." He said looking at me dead in the eyes.

"Ashton." I sighed, "I don't know. I can learn to forgive you. I want you back too but you hurt me so badly. I've missed you. But I don't think I can forget that."

"Please Mik. Give me a second chance."

"Fine. But you have to earn it."

"Okay. So are we ya know, back together?"

"No."

"Then what?" He asked confused.

"In the process. Were fixing things." I'm actually proud of myself, I didn't cry once. I was strong.

"Okay. I understand."

So we just sat their for about 10 minutes or so.

"Ashton?"

"Yea."

"Is it true?"

"What's true?"

"That you dared Calum to see how far he can go with Ali? To do something more then pecking her on the lips? To get her to her most vulnerable state?" He looked at me, just starring. "Well is it?" He looked away.

"Yes, it's true."

"Damn it Ashton. Ali was mad at me for weeks, because I didn't believe that you could do that! She almost cut Ashton! Did you know she has that type of history?!"

"No."

"Neither did I. Damn it Ash. You need to apologize. And soon. Your lucky they're ok now." I said looking away.

"I'm sorry." He said in a whisper.

My phone buzzed in my pocket.

From: Lukey
Where are you?

To:Lukey
Out front

From: Lukey
Why?

To: Lukey
Ashton

From: Lukey
Oh? Do you want me to come out?

To: Lukey
Na it's ok. Were just sitting here.

From:Lukey
Ok. Let me know when you wanna go home or you need me.

To:Lukey
Okay I will :)

"What's wrong Mik?"

"Hmm? Oh nothing. It was just Luke, he wanted to know if I was ok."

"Oh."

"Well, I think I should go home."

"Oh I can take you Mik. If you want." He said.

"Uh sure?" I wouldn't want to take my friends away from the party right?

HEY!
Guys OMG I'm so sorry! I know it's been like 2 months. I feel so bad! School has been hectic! I've had so much homework and tests like crazy.

The school year is almost over here. I should be back on almost regular updates by the end of June.

But now I have questions....

Is Mia stupid for (almost) taking Ash back?
