Maya stayed with me for a while longer, then had to leave for dinner. My mom got home 30 minutes later and I took a deep breath and thought I better get it over with. I grabbed the note off my desk and brought it to my mom. She took it out of my hand and read it. Her facial expression instantly changed angry.
"Go to your room now!" She pointed towards the stairs.
"Okay. okay I'm going." I hoped that would be all that she did, but she followed me to my room and pushed me to the floor.
"I do not tolerate this behavior." She hovered over me, then kicked me repeatedly. She grabbed my arm and pulled me up. "Come with me!" I followed her to the hallway, then into the bathroom. She grabbed the back of my neck and slammed my face into the toilet. She held it there for a long time and I struggled for air. She pulled me up and instantly put my face back in. I only could draw a small breath. She held my face in longer and I could feel myself getting dizzy.
Then everything went black...
