I heard sirens in the distance, but they seemed miles away. The car had hit the tree and rolled down into the ditch. The car lay on it's top. I was still strapped into the driver's seat, upside down. A pool of blood gathered beneath me. My eyes got heavy. I didn't feel anything. I couldn't feel my legs, my arms, feet, hands, body, face. There was nothing. I forgot what had happened and for a second I forgot who I was. Until I drifted into unconsciousness.
