Running Away

I think Cathy was trying to butter me up. She gave me a solo, duet, and I was in the group dance of course. I was doing a Lyrical routine for all three and I didn't want to disappoint. My mom made me practice no stop in our in home studio. If I didn't get practicing right away when we got home from dance she would slap me.

I think the other girls at the studio think their better than me which makes me seriously want to beat them. Erica and Taylor got the other duet and I'm doing the duet with Justice which I'm not excited to dance with him. The other duet went to Sarah and Karisa. Everyone was in the group dance including Vivi - Anne who would be a human prop.

"Chloe dear..." Cathy called me over.

"Yes." I said and walked over to her.

"I have some news for you about the competition." She smiled evilly.

"What?" I asked her.

"ALDC will be there." She smiled wider.

"Oh that's nice." Tears sprang to my eyes and I wished that I was still on ALDC.

"Why are you crying?" Cathy put her hand on my shoulder.

"Leave me alone!" I yelled and ran out of the studio my angry, changed mother in hot pursuit. I locked myself in the bathroom and cryed. My mom banged her fists against the door.

"Come out of there right now!" She yelled.

"No!" I yelled back. I looked around and found a small window above the toilet. I stood on the toilet seat and reached up. There was a little latch and I flipped it upwards. The window opened a crack and I pushed on it. It flung open and I smiled. I boosted my self up and fell into the grass. I closed the window and sprinted away from the dance studio. I needed to be alone for a while. There was woods behind the studio and I thought I would climb one and sit up there for a while. I found one large one and climbed up using the branches as steps. I never wanted to come down.

Mom's Point of View ~

She was such a unappreciative girl. She was in a commercial that payed her a lot of money and now she was dancing with a new studio that would give her a new start. What more could she ask for? I continued to bang on the door yelling at her to come out. She answered only once and after that I heard some noises then silence.

"CATHY!" I called. She came running my way immediately.

"What's wrong?" She asked with worry. Back at ALDC everyone hated her, but I secretly loved her spunk and determination.

"Is there a window in there?" I asked her.

"Yes why?" She cocked her head slightly.

"Oh No" I ran outside and ran along the building. I find the little window and when I pushed on it, it popped open. Great. I hate this girl so much. Why won't she just listen to me?

"Chloe Lukasiak!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. There was no answer. I went to the woods first thinking she would be there and sure enough I find her perched in a tree like a stupid cat. "Get down right now!" I yelled up at her.

Chloe's Point of View ~

My mom had found me and my little getaway trip ended. I took a deep breath and started the decent down. Once both my feet were on the ground my mom pounced like a lion and grabbed my arm. She pulled me back to the studio.

"You need to practice and don't you dare do that again!" She yelled into my ear.
