Liz got a call on her cell phone around 9 am. She nodded her head and said...
"Yes I'll go get her." She handed the phone to me while I sat in my wheelchair. "It's for you..." She said.
"Hello?" I was nervous.
"Hi, is this Chloe Lukasiak?" A man with a loud voice asked.
"Um..yes and who is this?" I started to shake.
"This is Officer Benton here to tell you some news." I held my breath and waited for him to continue.
"Your mother has been found and is now in jail for what she has done to you and stealing merchandise from Walmart." He announced.
"Really?...." Tears sprang to my eyes as I remembered everything that happened.
"Also I'm sad to tell you that you're friend. Maya Ransom was murdered a couple months ago by a crazy guy searching for his dead daughter." I fall out started to cry when I heard that news. My only good friend that stayed by my side the whole time was dead. I felt so guilty for not even considering going to see her. I completely forgot.
"Her parents wanted to wait till you were in good health to have the funeral. I'll give you their number." He told me. I continued to cry. They gave me the number and I wrote it down on a piece of notebook paper.
Great more grief I have to go through.
