Chapter 23

I wake up with Herobrine to whispered arguments outside the bedroom door. I motion to him to be quiet as I get up, walk to the door, and open it as quiet as I can. Ender, Sierra, Jane, and Tbnr are standing in the hallway, talking about something. "Hey guys. What is going on out here?" I ask, rubbing my eyes. The four look at me like they did something wrong. "Sorry for waking you and Herobrine, Kitty. We heard about last night and wanted to see how you two were." Sierra says. "We'll be down in a bit. We don't want to be in our dirty clothes all day." I reply. They all nod, walk down to the living room, and shut the heavy dark oak door. Thirty minutes later, me and Herobrine are sitting in the living room with the others, chatting about what Sierra and the others were up to the day before."So wait, you guys did what to the punch at Ellen's stupid half moon party?" Herobrine asks since I was laughing too hard.

"We put one of the puppy potions in the punch while they weren't looking." Tbnr says over a cup of water. I get up to refill everyone's glasses when Emma slams the door open like it was life or death. "Hey, are you okay Emma?" Jane asks as Tbnr and Ender get Emma to sit down in a chair near my seat. I grab everyone a drink as quick as I could from the fridge and walk back into the living room. "So what's the matter Emma?" Ender asks as I hand Emma a cup of water. "Me and Jason were checking out the stands at the farmer's market earlier when we ran into two women who used to be in Steve's private guard. We pulled the two aside and question them about their former boss. It seems like who or what Steve and Notch are working for is far worse than we thought." Emma says. We all look at one another as Jason comes barreling in through the front door.

"What's the matter Jason?" I ask as Herobrine let's Jason have his seat. "Group of guards are in town. Arrested the two women me and Emma met earlier. I overheard them say Herobrine and Kitty's names." Jason says, panting from the run. "Hmm. Seems like you both have to stay at Herobrine's cave house till the group leaves. We'll walk you both over tonight." Mark says. Later the same day, we all meet up in the backyard as night falls. "We're ready. Let's get moving before anyone comes here." Tbnr says as the group walks down the pathway. We are almost in the entrance when we hear running from behind us. "Guys get inside now!" Herobrine yells. Everyone charges into the cave and bolt for the mineshaft where Herobrine lives. We get to the door when someone yells, "Wait!"

The voice belongs to a young boy that is running towards us. "You guys get inside. I will handle this." Mark says as he walks to meet the boy half way. Me and the others go inside Herobrine's house, sit down, and wait. "Well this is not what I thought would happen when we first found your home Herobrine." Jason says after half an hour of silence. "Oh really now. What did you think would happen?" Herobrine asks. "I thought you'd kill us or something." Jason replies, shrugging. "I just thought you'd take our materials." Sierra says, looking around the room. "I wouldn't be like that. I would rather talk things out before using brute force." Herobrine says. Emma is about to say something when the door opens.

Mark walks in with the boy in tow. "Dad why'd you bring the kid with you?" Emma asks Mark. Ender and Tbnr get the kid to sit down on a seat near them. "His mother sent him to tell us the guard won't be here longer than three days. And his name is Brendon. He is well Anna's son." Mark says. Brendan waves awkwardly at Herobrine before I walk over and hug him, making everyone laugh. "Your welcome to visit us anytime Brendon. Tell your mother and aunt the same goes for them when you get home, ok?" I say as I let Brendon go. "Alright Miss Kitty. I have to go right now actually. See you all later." Brendan says as he leaves.

Mark and Emma walk him out while me, Ender, Tbnr, Sierra, Jane, Jason, and Herobrine talk about what we should do when we hear loud knocks at the door. "I got it." Ender says as she walks to the door. Before she gets there, the door is blasted open. Three men walk in after the dust settles. "Your coming with us." The leader says.
