I sit on the road, crying my eyes out over the loss of a dear friend. I feel a pair of arms wrap around me, lifting me up like I am nothing but a doll. I don't fight back as whoever picked me up and carries me home with the others in tow. It takes a few minutes after arriving at my house for me to calm down enough to see who picked me up earlier. Herobrine is sitting next to me with his arms wrapped around me in a hug. The others had apparently left at some point so the two of us could be alone. "I'm sorry for breaking down like that. . ." I say through the tears that haven't dried yet. "Don't worry about it. I would've done the same thing if I were in your shoes." Hero says as he pulls me closer. I look around the quiet house, remembering the dream from the previous night before all this happened. "Hero. . . I want to ask you something important." I say as I rest my head on his shoulder, his presence reassuring me. "What's up Kitty?" Hero asks, the concern in his voice evident.
Before I answer, someone starts hitting the door with enough force to break it down. We leap up and grab the swords we stashed under the couch in case of such an event. The door comes crashing door, a enderman a good foot taller than Hero walks in with the enderman that saved Joseph behind him. The tall one points at me, wanting me to come with it and it's friend. I shake my head and raise my sword to fight. The second enderman rushes me. I prepare to attack when Herobrine hits it back with the hilt of his sword. Before either of us could react, the taller enderman lungs forward, hitting Hero into the nearby wall with enough force to knock him out. "Herobrine!?" I scream as I run to him. Hero got a gash in the same place on his chest as the old wound, but it seems to be a bit worse. All the pinned up rage and sadness breaks loose at the moment I see Hero like this. "You monsters!?" I screech.
I feel wings grow to full length on my back, my fury summoning snow around my hands that glow colors. I send the second enderman flying out the door by hitting it with my mysterious new wings. The tall enderman turns and flees after realizing he had no chance. I make sure they're gone before I get Herobrine into our room. "Kitty?! Herobrine!?" I hear Benny yelling from downstairs. I run down to meet him, some of my rage draining from me. "Kitty! What happened? Are you ok? Where's Herobrine? When did you have wings?" Benny asks all at once. I raise my hands in defeat. "Ok short story. I'm ok, Joseph's goons attacked, Herobrine's hurt and upstairs. I think I got the wings during the fight. Just stay here while I get Mark and Emma." I say as I head to the door frame.
"Wait where is Silver and her friends?" I ask, standing in the door way. "With Sierra, Ender, Tbnr, Jane, Jason, and your mother at Ender's house." Benny replies. I nod, walking out into the cool air. I extend the wings, having decided to test them out, and take off towards where Mark and his family lives. I land running when I get there. I rapid knock the door till Emma's mom answers the door. "May I help you Kitty?" Miss. Stevenson asks. "Need Mark and Emma quick. Hero is hurt pretty bad." I say, watching her turn around and run inside without another word. Within minutes, Mark and Emma are standing on the porch with some first aid kits they put together. "I'll ask about the wings later." Emma says as we run back to my house. We run through the front doorway, up the stairs, and into my and Herobrine's room.
While the two fix Hero up, me and Benny silently fix my front door. "What is with people and breaking into my house. It'd make WAY more sense just to knock." I say. Benny nods. "You thirsty? I'll get us some drinks." Benny says, running into the kitchen. We sit waiting for thirty minutes, talking about the kids and Iren when Emma and Mark come downstairs. "He's still out cold but the wound is patched. He was saying something odd though." Mark says as he grabs one of the two extra glasses Benny set out for them. "What did he say?" Benny and me ask at the same time. "He kept saying something like Kitty take Maylee and the other kids and run. Along with kitty don't leave me. I think he may need you up there when he wakes up Kitty." Emma says. I nod, taken aback by the mentioning of the girl named Maylee. Hero must have seen the kids from fifteen years in the future as well.
Me, Emma, Mark, and Benny talk till well past midnight. "You three can and are stay the night. Just in case." I say after everything is cleaned up. "Thanks Kitty. See ya in the morning." Mark says as the three go to their separate rooms. I walk upstairs to the bedroom, being careful of my wings. I walk out of the bathroom to see Herobrine sitting half up in bed. "Hero lay down please. You need to rest so you would feel better." I whisper, gently pushing him back. I could see a slight fever in his eyes as he looks at me. "Guess I can say your my guardian now." He whispers lovingly as I lay down with my back towards the wall. I just roll my eyes as I settle. Hero turns to face me with a smile on his face. "We can't escape this can we?" I say, poking his shoulder. "Nope. But I know what will make this a bit better." Hero replies.
I look curiously at him. He sees this and shifts to his back, knowing I will ask till he tells me. Instead I move closer and lay my head on his chest, curling into him. "Tell me please?" I ask. Hero lets a soft chuckle out, his hand on my arm. "How bout we get married this week before something else happens." Hero replies, running his thumb up and down my shoulder. I adjust myself so I'm looking him in the face. "You mean it?" I say, excited. He nods, knowing that it wouldn't be the same without Markus, who was like a brother to me. "We'll have a seat empty. To show respect to Markus. No need to worry." Hero says before I could bring it up. I kiss Hero's cheek before I curl against him and fall asleep, wings curled around me.
