After hours of sitting in the dark bag all while being jostled around as Jonathan runs to who knows where, I hear a door open and shut behind him. Next thing I see is bright torch light when Jonathan opens the bag to pull me out. He places me on top of a table that's way too tall for me to jump safely to the ground. "I'll be right back. I'll get us some drinks from the kitchen." Jonathan says as he turns to walk down a hallway. The minute he's out of sight, I make a mini ice ramp down to the floor and slide my way down. I make my way to the door while making sure Jonathan isn't coming back down the hallway while I make my escape. Right when I make it to the door which happens to have a gap big enough for me to escape, I hear Jonathan's foot steps coming down the hallway. I scramble through the door and out to the snowy bush nearby to hide when Jonathan sees that I got away. "Where the nether did she go?!" I hear Jonathan yell as he slams the door open, running off into the forest opposite me. When I'm sure, I book it from my hiding spot and run down the icy snow-packed path as fast as my currently tiny legs can carry me. I make it a quarter of a mile when the potion wears off. I grin as I take off in full sprint when i notice a not so well hidden cave in the side of the hill a few miles down the road. "I wonder what's in there." I mutter to myself as I jog over to it. I walk in, following the torches deep into the cave as the stone turns to stone bricks like that in a dungeon.
The cave tunnel ends with a cell that's barely lit, a figure huddling in the dark corner. "Hello?" I say, crouching in front of the bars so I don't seem threatening. I see the figure shift in the shadows, turning to face me with glowing eyes. "...Kitty, is that you? I haven't seen you since we were kids." Hero says, coming to sit on his side of the cell bars. I look at Hero with utter confusion in my eyes. "Hang on, I'll get ya out and you can explain what's going on while we walk back to my house." I reply, freezing the lock on the door and swinging it open. Hero walks out and we bolt out of the cave towards town. It takes an hour but we manage to get to my house in one piece. I yank my door open, run in with Hero behind me, and slam the door with a loud bang. I whip my phone out to text the rest of the gang in the group that Jonathan isn't in that something big is going down. Within ten minutes, the whole gang is sitting in my living as we wait for Hero to finish changing into a fresh set of clothes. "So wait, Hero said what now?" Sierra asks as Hero comes into the room and sits down. We are sitting in silence for a few minutes due to Benny having gone into the other room before Mark and Emma finally come in being followed by Max, Roman, ad a man I've never seen. "Who's the new guy?" Ender asks when Mark and the rest take their seats. "This is Cyrus. We bumped into him in town." Roman replies after a brief silence. Cyrus shifts awkwardly in his seat from all the attention he's receiving. "Okay. Welcome to the group the Cyrus. Just be careful around here, it gets crazy." I say.
Once we are sure is that nothing else is coming, I go into explanation of what had just happened and what Hero had said to me when I found him in the cave cell. "Whelp, that isn't weird at all. How did Jonathan keep you hidden for so long?" Emma says as Benny walks in and leans against the doorway of the kitchen, not seeing Cyrus just yet. "I think he just kept the entrance covered until recently. He let the dirt he had been using break down to the point that the entrance was visible from the path." Hero shrugs, looking slightly uncomfortable with the attention from so many people. Lucky, Cyrus notices Benny in the doorway. He leaps up and tackle hugs Benny before any of us could say butter beer.
"Gah Cyrus let go!?" Benny exclaims, Cyrus getting pryed off by Max and Roman. "Sorry dude. What did you expect me to do after not seeing my big brother after five years." Cyrus says with a grin on his face. "Brother?! Does everyone have a sibling they have been keeping a secret!!" Emma exclaims after a few minutes silence. The rest of the crew starts chattering about this, Cyrus talking the more than anyone I have known before him. I walk into the kitchen to take a break from the constant chatter that is my friends, when I see a bright blue light shining outside the window. Only after flinging the door open with sword in hand did I realize that it was Silver messing with a flashlight and a diamond . She smiles up at me and tackle hugs me. "Mom, there's something going on at the pond you took us all to. Come on!" Silver says as she tugs on my hand. "Hang on. Let me get Hero so it won't be just the two of us out there." I reply. I dart back inside the house and yank Hero out by the arm due to the chatter not dying down. "Somethings up isn't it?" Hero says as Silver leads us down the path I now know so well. I shrug as a breeze starts blowing through the trees around us, making the short trip that more ominous.
Once the pond is in view, both me and Hero gasp at the sight before us now. Instead of the usual shifting colors the pond would emit, the pond is now shining like a million diamonds lay beneath the water. What stunned us more is the gathering of elves and the other humanoids I've never seen before at it's edge. Silver runs up to one of the elf women and hugs her.The woman chuckles at this and picks Silver up. "Don't be scared to join us! We don't bite!" The woman calls out to us. I subconsciously take Hero's hand as we walk to join this interesting group. "Seems like we're all here now. Time to begin the meeting." The woman says, smiling in our direction.
