Diamond Light (Slowly being edited)

Chapter 22

I wake up lying face first on the hard wood floor in my bedroom with my head pounding. I start to get up only to freeze half way due to noises downstairs. I grab the diamond sword I have under my bed, get up, and creep down to where the noise is coming from. I round the corner of the stairs into the entry to my basement. I sneak down, sword in hand, over to the culprits. They both turn around at the moment I stop behind them. I was furious to see that it was Eric and Dante from the next town over. "What.. in the nether.. are you both doing in my house!?" I scream, startling them both. Dante takes a step back behind Eric. "Well we didn't want to. Notch and Steve.. they saw Herobrine come in here and forced us two to get him." Eric says timidly. I shake my head in dissappointment. "Did you two ever get to Herobrine?" I say, anger still lining my voice  They both look at each other like they were scared to say what happened. 

 "We tried getting outside to the meeting spot.. but he put up a fight. Eric.. got him in the chest with his sword. We both got scared and left him out back by the garden, ran back here for potions, and ran into you."  Dante says ducking behind Eric. I stand there for a minute in shock before remembering where I am at. "You two did what!? Get out of here and never return, now!?!" I scream so loud that I could wake the dead. They both jump and run out of the back door, not looking back. I run outside, finding Herobrine laying near the carrots. I bend down and examine the bloody wound when I hear footsteps coming up behind me. I turn to see Emma and Mark running up the pathway. "Kitty we heard you scream. What happened?!" Emma semi yells as Mark bends down next to me. "Dante and Eric from the next town over broke in and tried forcing Herobrine to go with them to see Notch and Steve." I say. Emma shakes her head at that. "We better get him inside. We don't want him losing any more blood." Mark says. Mark and Emma get Herobrine to his room as I grab the med kit from the bathroom.

After thirty minutes, the wound is patched up. "Hey why don't you two spend the night since it's late." I say as I look at the clock on the wall. "Alright. See you in the morning." Emma says as she and her father head to the guest bedrooms they use. As I pass Herobrine's room to go to sleep, I hear a woman's voice in his room. I place my hand on my sword and entered as quietly as I can. I freeze in my tracks when I see a ghost woman with white eyes and a ghost man with startling blue eyes standing at the end of Herobrine's bed. I only notice when the ghost woman looks up at the ghost man that these were the ghosts of Herobrine's parents and they are talking to him. I start walking out when I accidentally bump into the dresser, knocking a book onto the floor. The two ghosts stop talking and look at me, confused at who was there. The room was silent for a few minutes before I decide to talk. "H-hi. I'm Kitty. Nice to meet you both. Your Herobrine's parents right?" I say as I internally flip out. 

The ghost woman smiles at me she moves forward a foot. "Yes we are. I'm Lillian and this is Brendan. We wanted to see our son again. To make sure he was alright and settled done." Lillian says kindly. I smile back, glad to know everything is fine. "Nice to meet you both. Sorry he isn't in the best condition. Some stuff went down earlier. As to the settling down, he got that." I say, showing my left hand. Lillian and Brendan smile bright, not noticing that Herobrine is now sitting up in bed. "I am so happy to know he's happy. Just be careful of his brothers. They have always gotten into trouble." Brendan says as he floats over to Lilian. "Don't worry mom and dad. Everything will be fine. Especially with Kitty and her friends around." Herobrine says, getting Lillian and Brendan's attention. They smile, looking between the two of us before they start to fade. "We know, just be careful. Know we love you Herobrine. And thank you Kitty, for staying with him for this long." Lillian says, nearly completely gone. "We'll try to appear again at some point. Be careful." Brendan says, as Lillian and Brendan disappear all together.

I walk over, kick my shoes off, and lay down next to Herobrine. "Your parents are awesome." I say as Herobrine smiles through a cringe when I place my hand on his wound on accident. "Ya. They're cool. I wish they could have lived. Then they could have met you normally." He says as he wraps his arm around my waist. "It doesn't matter. Get some sleep, ok?" I ask. He nods as we both fall asleep.
