The shortest chapter to ever exist.

Since Adam wanted me to stay the night... and since I agreed, Adam told his parents, them of course telling me I couldn't sleep in his room. They told me that I'd sleep in Bobby's room... I wasn't objecting.

When we were getting situated to go to bed, I realized I didn't bring any pajamas. Luckily, though, Bobby asked if I wanted to borrow some. I agreed, but when I put on her clothes I felt out of place. She was so bright and cheery, and I'm so.... not. I had kept my t-shirt on, but she gave me some pink pajama pants with Hello Kitty all over them.

We had a short argument about who was going to sleep on her bed. I won the argument, so Bobby would sleep in her own bed.

We joked and talked before bed, I probably kept her up longer than normal.

I was on my phone for a while after Bobby fell asleep, but I was soon able to fall asleep myself.

*

I woke up in the middle of the night to sniffing. Sitting up slowly, I turned to the noise. Bobby sat in her bed with puffy and teary eyes. I quickly stood on my knees by the edge of the bed, "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" I asked her, putting a hand on her arm to try and comfort her.

"I-I, I," she couldn't talk, she kept stuttering.

"Hey, calm down first," I told her, running my hands through her hair. She nodded and we sat like that for a while until her breathing slowed and tears stopped falling from her eyes.

"I had a nightmare," she finally managed to say.

I let out a sigh, "Are you alright?" I asked, voice full of concern.

She nodded slowly, still cuddled up with her pillow.

"Do you want to tell me what it was about? Or no?" I asked her. She shook her head. "Okay, that's alright, whenever you feel ready." I told her, "Are you going to be able to go back to bed?"

She gave a small nod. I stood up, about to go lay back down, but I felt her grab my wrist, "Don't leave." She told me.

I smiled at her, "I can't kneel by your bed all night." I told her.

"But you can cuddle with me." she said, a faint blush showing on her face in the dark room. I smiled again, friends can cuddle... right?

I climbed into bed with her and pulled her close to me, wrapping my arm around her waist. She let out a sigh and closed her eyes, falling asleep almost instantly. I stayed awake though. I couldn't believe that this girl, this girl I've known since I moved here, this girl I've had a crush on since I met her, I couldn't believe that she was sleeping in my arms right now.

And it felt right.

I told you it was short, but the next part is A LOT longer, trust me.
