The Vampire Diaries; after

I promise

*damon and elena are back home*
"Hey....baby....wake up....Bonnie's here to see you." I kissed Elenas head as she was snuggled in bed. Obviously I didn't want to wake her up but Bonnie needed to see her apparently it was important.
"Hmmmmmm...." She mumbled and rolled over to see me. "No fair." She pouted her lips and I rolled over to kiss her.
"She's waiting down stairs be their as soon as possible." I smiled at her kissed her forehead.
"Bon! She'll be down in 5 mins, you want anything to eat? Drink?" I asked her taking a sit of fresh blood that I poured in my cup from a blood bag that was still on the kitchen table.
"I'm good...thanks.....Elena!" She said happily and walked over to her throwing her arms around her.
"It's too early no yelling." Elena chuckled with Bonnie.
"Okay! Well Katherine has already met with her past and by past I mean Klaus and Elijah sh-" Bonnie started saying and then Elena interrupted her. She walked over to me and grabbed my drink out of my hands. "Yet me stop you right there hold on." She took a drink. "Ah...better....continue!" She laughed.
"She tried to get on good terms with them and I don't know how that's going to go but I just wanted to come see you." Bonnie smiled and put her hands on Elenas shoulders.
"Aw Bon!" They both hugged.
"And me? You didn't want to come to see me? Only.....Elena." I said exaggerating and crossing my arms.
"Yeah basically." Bonnie laughed.
"What's going on down here?" Stefan said walking down the stairs.
"Morning brother." I raised my eyebrows up at him.
"Morning Stef." Elena said.
"Hey Stefan!" Bonnie said sitting down on the couch.

"Okay kiddy pies....me and Elena are going out to scope out some places to see where we would like to do our wedding." I said smirking.
"Awwwww..." Bonnie said making puppy dog eyes.
"See you guys soon. Love you!" Elena said shutting the door behind her.

"I can't believe we're actually doing this...getting married. It's all I've ever wanted in life....to marry well...the love of my life. I don't care if I'm a vampire...it only means I get to spend eternity with you." She said to me before I started the car. She smiled and grabbed my hand leading to me kissing her.
"I love you." I said putting my forehead on hers.
"I love you too."

"Damon! We've already been to 5 places today can't we ggggg....gggg...." Elena fell to the ground. I could feel my stomach drop.
"Elena! Elena!" I ran up to her holding her face. I checker her back and someone shot a warewolf laced bullet which was clearly amped to knock her out.
"I need to get you home now!" I said freaking out. I picked her up and carried her to the car. There was no one in sight that could of done this. My love....I hope she's okay.
"Stefan! Stefan!" I yelled into my phone.
"Yeah!" He said worried.
"Someone shot Elena with a wear wolf laced bullet....she's un conscious....Stefan....stefan, I need to bring her home now!" I yelled panting into my phone as one hand was still on Elenas hand.
"Woah...woah...calm down brother...Klaus is here he can heal her just get her back she will be fine." Stefan said trying to calm me down. Once I got home everyone was already notified about what happened and I went straight to Carolines.
"Oh! My! Elena!" Caroline said running to Elenas in conscious body.
"KLAUS!" She yelled again.
"Woah....why hasn't she woken already?" He asked me.
"I don't know but please...please I need you to help her." I told him putting my arm on his shoulder.
He fed her his blood and she didn't wake up.
"BONNIE! We need your friend Bonnie! Get her here now!" He said holding Carolines thigh.
After Bonnie arrived she tried eveything she could do to wake her.
"Who would do this....what ever they did they blocked magic from doing anything to her. She's alive....but I don't know why she isn't awake." Bonnie said holding Elenas hand.
My heart sunk I could feel the hope in my face dim. My love. My life.
"You better damn find a way to fix this Bonnie!" I yell.
"You don't think I want her to wake up! Are you serious!" She raised her voice at me back.
"I'm trusting you!" I say and walk closer to Elena leaning down next to her on the bed.
"Please wake up baby....please." I say kissing her hand.
"Damon...just let me try some more stuff I'll call you back later." Bonnie says holding my back.
"You don't possibly think I'm leaving without her...I'm staying with her or at least in this house until she wakes up." I say already feeling hopeless. Everyday I wake up and fall asleep beside her. Tonight that will be different. I won't see the love of my life beside me...hear her say "I love you." Give her a good night kiss hold her hand and play with her hair until we both fall asleep. Watching her beautiful face wake up and see me in the morning, catching her smile and pull me in for a kiss.

"Damon! Damon! Damon!" Bonnie yelled as I ran in from the loving room.
"What what what!" I vamp speed over beside Bonnie.
"I...I....talked to Elena....I don't know how but I must of gotten in her mind.." Bonnie said feeling confused.
"I thought only vampires could do that....but is she okay...what did she say?" I asked her feeling confused but it gave me hope.
"Damon.....I'm so sorry....." Bonnie said as I could see her eyes water up.
"What is it Bon?" I say and I could see my hands shaking.
"She said that who ever did this...was after vampires....she said that the person linked me and her.....and when I die...." She started to say and my heart sunk again. I cut her off finishing her sentence.
".....when you die she wakes up.....isn't it." I say and put my head down.
"It's sorry Damon....." I saw the tears fall down her face. She hugged me and I felt hopeless. Why would this happy to me. I understand, yes I've done some very bad things in my life and yes I deserve most of things I get but I sure as hell don't deserve this.
We called in everyone else and called Stefan to come by and we told everyone the news leaving them all in tears.
"I can't....I can't believe..that this is happening.....my bestfriend.....gone..." Caroline said hugging me.
"I know......I know....." I said stoking the back of her head. I cried into my shoulder.
"I know what it's like to loose someone Damon....not just someone but the person who keeps you going everyday...the person who you know you can't talk to...laugh with....cry with....I know what it's like Damon....and I know you will wait for her....your love is too strong...you guys always get through things....you always find your way back to each other." Caroline said and then walked away. You know what she's right me and Elena have gone through everything and I'm sure as hell not letting this come between us. I will find a way to get you back Elena........I promise
