HANNA'S POV
The weather was absolutely freezing. It was late in November, causing the sweaters and long pants to come out. I was very excited though. Christmas was coming up and Mum and John had promised that they would be coming home to visit us for the holidays. A lot had happened since the night of the dance competition.
In terms of relationships:
-Harry and Luisa had broken up
-Niall and Fernanda had gotten together
-Allie and Liam were still together
-Reagan and Louis were still together
-Natalia and Zayn, Tianna and Dan, Sarah and Josh, were flirting
In terms of personal things that had happened, not a lot had changed. I had continued attempting to live life normally as I tried to come to terms with whatever mix of emotions I was having towards Harry. Until I figured them out I had tried to avoid him as much as possible, which is harder than you think. Now that the dance competition was over, our teacher had given us a break until after all the holidays were done. Harry, not really being in any other activity then practicing with that band he had with the other boys, was home most of the time.
I did my best to pretend nothing was going on but I think he was catching on. Every once in a while I would catch myself just staring at him for no particular reason. It sounds creepy but he seemed to find it amusing seeing as that he was the one that pulled me out of my daze each time by smirking a smug grin at me each time; and each time I would roll my eyes and pretend like I had done nothing wrong.
I ended up just having to spend time with Harry. We would watch movies or do our homework together and I would try not to make it awkward by slipping up and saying something stupid... that didn't always work out though. Today we were working on pre-cal homework.
"Harry, did you get number fourty-two?"
"Yea."
"How did you work it out?" I asked, not wanting to just completely copy his answer. And I had to show my work so you know...
"Well first..." As he started explaining it, all the words and numbers just went in one ear and out the other. All I could focus on were his eyes. They seemed to be extra vibrant today even though all he was doing was helping me with homework.
"Do you get it?"
"Huh?" I hadn't heard a word he had said.
"I mean, yeah, I got it. Thanks." I lied. I tried to pull away from our close proximity but he grabbed my arm, holding me closer than before. He just stared at me, not saying anything but we seemed to be communicating.
"You have really pretty eyes." I blurted out without thinking.
"What?" He chuckled.
"No! I didn't mean that! I mean I did cause your eyes are really pretty, but I didn't mean to say that outloud. I was just going to think it. Not that I was thinking about it cause that would be weird, it's just that when the light was hitting them, they looked really bright green for a second and you know how much I like green it just kind of-"
"Okay, okay! It's alright. I get it. My hottness is just too distracting. Maybe you should get Tianna to tutor you." He jeered. I scoffed and when I tried to move away this time, he didn't stop me.
"You just keep thinking that."
"Oh I will." He smirked. I rolled my eyes and closed my textbook.
"I'm hungry. Do you want to go out and get something?" I suggested.
"Sure. Where do you want to go?" He asked, closing his textbook as well.
