Chapter 7

"Sunny, come on!" Swift yowled as she she scrambled after the ball of yarn. Sunpaw purred and leaped after the yarn.

Swift purred happily and batted the ball. The twoleg, or upwalker as they called it, seemed to be watching them. It soon stood to its paws and walked into the large den.

"Sunny, careful!" Swift meowed as Sunpaw batted the yarn. It rolled off to the road and across as a car thundered past. Sunpaw stood frozen as the ball of yarn rolled into the forest.

Something about the road reminded her of something. Something familiar. Sunpaw heard a meow from the fence and whirled around to see Daisy, another cat from the other large den. She stared into the forest before turning to Sunpaw.

"Sunny, Swift, are you going to get it?" Daisy asked them. Swift shuddered at the thought. Sunpaw shivered as she stared into the dark forest. A slight tug at her heart beckoned her to follow the yarn. She shook her head at the thought.

"I'm not going in there, that's mouse-" Sunpaw stopped herself.

Why did I say mouse? It feels as if there's more to it...Oh great star- what's going on? Sunpaw thought to herself. Great stars? What was going on?

Sunpaw thought to herself and knew in her heart what she had to do. Taking a deep breath, she ran across the road and into the forest. She could feel Swift's and Daisy's eyes on her as she entered it. The forest feel was wonderful.

A voice called her back to the house. "Sunny!" The upwalker called. Sunny ran back after checking the road, carrying the yarn back. The upwalker rubbed her head and Sunpaw looked into its eyes. They seemed to understand what she was about to do.

Sunpaw turned to Swift and Daisy. "Goodbye." She meowed quietly. Swift looked sad and Sunpaw tried to purr.

"Sunny, you've been great. Follow your path." Daisy told her. Swift looked at her friend in sadness and understanding.

"Good luck, wherever your going." Swift meowed. Sunpaw purred and then turned around. She ran into the forest and the sun glittered in her fur, making it seem as if the sun was there itself. Sunpaw ran farther until she passed into some scent markers. Sniffing them, they seemed familiar too. Trusting her instincts, she walked passed the markers and into unknown territory.

-sorry, super duper short chapter here, but an important one. So, who's territory do you readers think she went into?- Moonflier

PS- please read The Bond of Enemies.

One of my friends wrote it and she is a warriors fan and her book is about warriors too. Only it has a creative twist to include....wait, better not tell. Anyways, please read! It has a badger on the cover of it by the way.
