The Big Bday Party

When I entered I herd of voices came hurdling towards me. I looked out the window I saw people talking and people swimming in the huge pool in the back. Inside were people dancing, talking, and snacking. Lights were everywhere on the floor and on the ceiling the DJ played some tracks and just as I got close enough to the dance floor everyone with in a foot radius screamed "Happy birthday Sammie and Violet." I looked around for Sam she was close to the middle of the dance floor with Mike Davis he was taller than last year and stronger too. Next to the was Cathy and Chris Lee he was taller than skinner than I remember but time flew.Finally I saw Nate with Mackenzie Lee. They looked like they were having the time of their lives I was extremely happy for them they might find the love of their lives tonight. I went to the other side of the room as the song started to fade then suddenly a hand rested on the tip of my shoulder the hand tightened around it.

"Would you like to dance?" The voice behind me was deep but reconizeable it was my ex Aaron his breathes tickled my ear. I turned around and stared into his light blue eyes he stared back. There was a long moment of awkward slience.

"Sure I have nothing else to do." Aaron took my hand in his and we walked out to the dance floor flooded with people and with some effort we made it to the center of the floor. As if on cue a slow sound came on he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arm around his neck.He was more beautiful than I had expected. Sweat shined on his forehead every time a light hit it we continued to sway to the beat of the song time seemed to slow down as we danced it felt like hours when the song ended.

"Thanks for the dance." He smiled his perfect white teeth glisened. He kissed my on the top of my head before responeding.

"Your welcome Viy." We smiled shyly at each other and continued to stare at each other. A sound went booming threw the speakers as

"Attension everyone." I wirled around and looked at the stage. Everyone's eyes followed mine and stared at Nate, Cathy, and Sam. I hurried towards the side of the stage and grabbed my guitar not listening to the intro.

"Give it up for Violet." Sammie said almost screaming. I walked up on to the stage.

"Thanks Nate, Cathy, and Sam for that intro happy birthday Sam now I hope y'all like Taylor Swift's song Crazier cuz that's what I'm singing here tonight. If you like my music you can come to the Downtown Cafe every Friday hope to see you there. Here I go." The crowd shouted and a roar of appulse swept over the crowd.I started strumming my guitar and watched crowd grabbed their partners and dance to the beat on the song. My voice went threw the booming speakers as I sang the stage shock with every lyric everyone outside wet and dry came inside and leaned on the walls surrouding the room. Amoung them was a man a man I love the man who kissed me in elememarty school stood by the door smiling. Finally the sound was over. I walked off the stage my eagerness to talk to Jason took control of my body until I bumped into him.My head impacted his broud chest my hands lightly touched his chest as he held me my heart rate increased every second I was in his muscular arms.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry." I shuttered when I had the courage to speak. His beautiful eye looked at ,e his mouth formed a smile. The smile I had l loved when we were little, the smile he had when he lied down next to me when he slept over at my house. Back then we did that all the time but ever since 3rd grade we haven't done that since.

"It's okay.Hey you were amazing out there I didn't know you played the gutiar."

"Thanks and yeah I've been playing since I was 5 well after we meet." I tucked my hair nervously behind my ear in embrassment of what I just said.We continued until a slow song came on Jason swiftly grabbed my hand firmly and we walked out t the middle of the dance floor. The light seem brighter, the music seemed louder, the sound of my breathing grew smaller when he wrapped a hand around my boney waist and the other grabbed my sweaty hand. I wrapped my free hand around his waist the music continued as a we danced elagently across the floor.I keep looking down at my feet avoiding contact with his eyes, he slowly lifted my chin and we stared into each others eyes his eye shimmered and sparkled when the light hit them just right.The song seemed slower when we danced feeling more magically very single moment. A spotlight shined down on us as he spun me around and lefted my up for the heavens to see air rushed up my legs and the underneath of my dress when I fell on to the wooden floor. His face came closer to mine as the song went.The last thing I remember about the dance was see in the floor and seeing his soft eyes I swear I thought he was going to kiss me until a roar swept over the crowd. Some cheered some shouted and screamed when I pulled myself up against him my back shock every time he breathed.

"Meet me outside," he whispered so softly I could barely hear a word he was saying.He disappered into the crowd.

"Violet you just dance with Jason Wade how do you feel? Was it magical?"

"I'm breathles I think I need some fresh air and yes it was magical it felt like we were the only two people in the world when I looked into his eyes."

"Ready to dance?" Mike came up behind her wrapping his arms around her kissing her cheeck.He turned her around so she could see his reached her lips and kissed her hard he literally took her breathe away.

"I got to go see you later Viy." They left towards the dance floor as the speakers boomed back to life. I took that advantage, grabbed my purse and stepped outside into the cool summers eve night.
