Chapter 20 - Embrace

(Y/N)'s POV:
At around 11am, Aph came bounding into the living room. "Hello Aph! Where have you been? I haven't seen you at all today." I commented. "Oh, just doing some stuff..." she giggled. "Seriously Aph. I know something is up. Care to tell me? I can help!" "Well...WE ALL DECIDED TO TAKE YOU TO THE MOVIES!!!" she shrieked in excitement. "REALLY!?!?!?" I half-screamed since my ribs still hurt if I spoke to loud, "That's awesome! When do we go?" "Right now silly!" Aph said, turning off the TV and wheeling me outside. there stood Kawaii~Chan, Katelyn, Garroth, Laurence, Travis, Dante, Aaron, and Zane. "Heeeyyyy baby!" Travis said. "Don't. Call. Me. That," I threaten. "Good to see you're feeling better," Aaron said in his usual tone. "Hehe, thanks!" I start to wheel myself over to Aph's car when someone puts a hand on my shoulder, stopping me. "Here, let me take you over there," Laurence says to me. I let out a sigh as he pushes me the last 10 feet to the car. Of course, he also insisted that he needed to lift me into the car. "Sigh, really Laurence?" Katelyn smirks. "Of course, I'm that good." Suddenly, I find the ground very interesting. Of course, my brain didn't agree with him as memories of...that day...filled my head. I'm relieved when Katelyn pushes him away and helps me into the car. "Thanks for the save," I whisper. "No problem. I could tell it was making you uncomfortable." I silently nodded and looked away, staring at nothing particular. I did this the entire way there.

Dante's POV:
As we got out of the car, I couldn't help but look at (Y/N). Everything we said about why she was perfect was measly compared to the real person. Sigh, she was definitely a keeper. We walk into the theatre and I found myself next to (Y/N). "Hey (Y/N)! How ya doing today m'lady?" I attempt to joke with her. Thankfully, she catches on, "I'm doing quite fine if I do say so myself. Thank you for asking Sir Dante." We laugh and talk the entire way to the cash register. "Okay, so, the girls and I are going to buy the tickets. Why don't the guys take (Y/N) to the concession stand?" Aph directs us.
"Of course! Right this way m'lady." I smirk at (Y/N). I assume (Y/N) wasn't to happy about being stuck with us, probably sensing that Aph wanted her to heal the wound Laurence left. "Okay baby! What would you like me to buy?" Travis playfully asks (Y/N). "Popcorn and Sour Patch Watermelon please. Oh yeah, and some water." "I'd like the same as (Y/N) but replace the Sour Patch with Starburst Minis." I tell Travis. "I'm not buying for you. Only for me and (Y/N)," he says. (Y/N) looks at the ground blushing and then says. "Thanks Travis, but I can buy my own snacks," she says quietly, rolling past us. "Travis! We are supposed to help heal her, not make her embarrassed!" I hiss at him. "What can I say? A gentleman always pays for the lady." We catch up to see Laurence and Garroth next to (Y/N). "I'll pay for her!" Laurence shouts. "No, I got it!" Garroth yells back. They continue this, not even realizing that (Y/N) has gone up to the counter and got her concessions. "Guys...stop fighting....please," she says sadly. They instantly stop when they see that she has paid. We all remain quiet until Aph, Kawaii~Chan, and Katelyn appear. "Hello gorgeouses!" Travis greets them. Katelyn greets him with a slap and keeps walking. "Alright everyone! Auditorium #11!" Aph says, pointing to an auditorium close to us. We quickly head over in a hurry to get the best seats. Well, everyone kinda forgot that (Y/N) had to sit in the handicap row and took off. When I walked in, I saw (Y/N) alone, sulking as she rolled herself to her seat. I wander over to her and take a seat next to her. "Don't worry. A knight never leaves his lord alone." I smile at her. Her face lights up a bit and she contently watches the screen. I look up to see everyone looking ashamed that they forgot about (Y/N). (Y/N) must've sensed that too because she turned her chair around and gave them a thumbs up. They still looked guilty, but remained where they were. The movie started as soon as (Y/N) turned her wheelchair around. I watched her as she jolted from her chair when an exciting part came on, then lean back again, cringing in pain. She cried during sad or emotional parts and cheered when happy parts or victories emerged. It was adorable to watch these things. At the end, when the battle was won. She turned and kissed me! I was in shock; she was too after she realized what she did. "Sorry....I got caught up in the moment," she said. I bet she was blushing, but it was hard to tell in the dark. She quickly turned and acted like nothing ever happened. I didn't forget that moment. Never.
