SKYLAR'S POV
I woke up the next morning expecting to hear Allie and Colson running around, but then I remembered the boys have them. I sighed, remembering our awkward conversation last night. I tried not to get too caught up, but it seemed like I failed that because I could barely talk. Kenzie moved around in the other bed.
"So, who's going to get the kids?"
"We can I guess."
"Get dressed then so we can get home." I didn't bother trying to look cute, which Kenzie didn't like but she got over it. When we knocked on the boys door, their hotel ended up being across the street from us, Slim answered, with Colson over his shoulder. I laughed, seeing everyone else running around the hotel room.
"Who woke you up first?"
"Definitely not Allie, she slept in. Takes after you." I smiled and she ran over.
"Can we stay in New York for a couple days so we can hang out with daddy?" I looked at Colson, who looked down.
"Well.." I looked at Kenzie, "I'm sure Aunt Kenzie wouldn't mind staying here with Uncle Dub, so why not." she smiled and ran over to Rookie, who ran over to me. He gave me a hug, then picked Allie up. They'd been close ever since the twins were born. We walked in and sat down next to Dre and Ash. Kenzie called Jess to tell her we weren't leaving with them. I was nervous that I'd be spending more time with everyone again for the first time in years, but they treated me like I never left.
"If you two wanna stay here, we have an extra bed that you and the twins can share, so they're not so far away." Ash suggested.
"That's fine, I don't know if I'll be able to get them to leave anyways." we all laughed and watched them playing with Colson and Rookie. Before everyone left for Cleveland, they brought our bags. I caught Colson watching me a couple times with the kids and Allie would stop and watch us sometimes. We hung around the hotel room all day, until Allie wanted to go down to the pool. I went down but laid out instead of swimming. Kenzie took the chair next to me. Once we went up to get the kids ready for bed, Allie pulling me all the way there, the boys took over the area around the TV and I was getting them in their pajamas. I was brushing Allie's hair when she stopped playing on my phone all of a sudden. She looked at me in the mirror and at Colson in the living room, and she kept looking back and forth.
"What's wrong?" she shook her head. "Turn around." she did as I told her. "What is wrong with you?"
"I have a question.."
"You can ask me anything."
"Do you still love daddy?" she said just loud enough for Colson to hear. His head shot up and looked straight at me.
"Sweetie, that-that's complicated."
"Why?"
"I-I really don't know..." I looked down, so I didn't have to look at either of them. I heard him walk in and clear his throat.
"Allie, let's go to bed. Your brothers waiting for you." she got up and ran to his room. I just shook my head. "You okay?" he asked me.
"I will be." I looked up and faked a smile. He nodded and walked out. As soon as he left, Kenzie came rushing in, shutting the door behind her.
"So do you?"
"What?"
"You know what I'm talking about. Do you still love him?"
"I told you this before, I always will but it's just not how it used to be Kenzie."
"I see it though. The look on your face when you see him. You're like, torn between wanting to run and give him a hug or just pretending like you never had anything. But you looked sick last night."
"I was shocked. I wasn't expecting to see him."
"I know. I should've warned you but then you would've tried to trade seats with someone and-"
"I get it. Can I get some rest now?"
"Sure. We're all gonna do the same." she laughed and left the room. I turned the light off and tried to sleep, but I had too much on my mind. I got up and walked out to the living room to see Colson passed out on the couch. I laughed and shook my head. I slipped on a pair of flip flops and opened the door quietly, trying not to wake him. I decided to go for a walk and clear my head. I needed to be by myself for a little. I've learned a lot over the past couple years, but I know now that walks at 2 in the morning help me sleep more than anything. I know Slim's seen me walk down the street a couple of times back in Cleveland. I'd get home and see a text telling me to go to sleep. I really missed the old house. I loved the one Jess got me but it wasn't the same. I didn't feel like it was my home. I walked by some stores and looked the front window to see what they had. I was gonna try and go shopping for myself while I was here.
Once I got back to the room, it was around 3 and Colson was awake and watching TV. He looked at me trying to walk in quietly and laughed. I rolled my eyes and turned around.
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" I asked him.
"What about you? Who walks around New York City at 2 in the morning?"
"Whatever. It helps me sleep."
"Sure it does." he laughed. I walked over and smacked him in the back of the head. "Ow! What was that for?"
"Being an ass." I laughed and walked in my room, shutting the door behind me.
I heard conversation out in the living room when I woke up. I looked at the time on my phone and saw it was early. I put a hoodie on and walked out. I saw a girl I didn't recognize sitting in Colson's lap at the table. He looked happy, and so did the girl. I walked over to Kenzie who was focused on her phone.
"You okay?" she jumped when she heard me.
"Yeah.. You wanna come somewhere with me today?"
"Sure, where?"
"I have to show you something first." She pulled me to the bathroom that was attached to my room. I got confused about why she was using my bathroom instead of Dub's. She grabbed a box out of one of the drawers and pulled something out. When she turned around I saw it was a pregnancy test.
"I need to go make sure it's right. I have a doctor's appointment for noon."
"Why are we going?"
"Because Sky, it's positive."

Figured I'd put another chapter up before I left for school. Enjoy!(:
