Lucy ran and ran. She found it as a chance to run off, escaping from the dragons. Her neck was in pain. She kept on cupping it with her hands. Her feet had received some blisters and scratches, and maybe some blood after running barefoot in the forest. The landscape changed. There were more trees, and it had gotten darker. Shadows loomed over the place--making Lucy's steps faltered a bit. She looked over the place. A bit of blood leaked through her fingers. She kept on walking, her eyes roaming all around. Meeting a pair of red eyes in front of her.
"Stay away." She growled. Backing away.
"Lucy. . . " He walked towards her.
"Stay put!" She yelled. Rogue's eyes softened. He looked at the blood seeping through her fingers.
"What happened to your neck?" He inquired, he kept walking forward, making Lucy do the opposite, until she bumped against a tree.
Cliche scene. She rolled her eyes at the thought.
Rogue lifted his hands, going to caress her cheek. "I fuckin' told you stay away from me!!" Lucy exclaimed. Shuddering, when Rogue still touched her cheek.
"Lucy," He said soothingly. "Tell me. . ," He said. For a second, his eyes turned green when he smelled a blonde dragon's scent on Lucy.
The platinum-blonde shook her head.
"I-I-I don't want to! Just let me be, please!" She sobbed. Rogue pursed his lips. He pulled Lucy to his chest. His face nuzzled on top of her head, letting her fists hit him, and her muffled cries escape. His wings spread out, he swiftly carried Lucy bridal-style, making her squirm. "Let me go, you bastard!" She exclaimed. Rogue ignored her whims, continuing to fly somewhere.
"W-Why?! Why is it me!?" Lucy sobbed, her eyes had became blood-shot.
"What do you mean?" Rogue asked. Looking down at Lucy. His brows creased.
"I-I-I. . I don't feel safe with you guys anymore. You guys are liars. Murderers.." She cried.
"What makes you think that?"
"Everything after Zeref's death." She said flatly, sniffling a bit.
"You can trust us. You can trust me." He said softly. Starting to glide down to the ground.
"Laxus said that," She chuckled bitterly. "He lied. He fucking bit me!" She said, her eyeballs rolling back, from the blood loss.
Rogue cussed under his breath. That bastard. He thought of Laxus, biting her neck. But, that didn't matter much to him at the moment. Lucy mattered. He brought Lucy to the same little lake to heal her wounds. He laid Lucy down on the ground. Her breathing hitched. Rogue gathered water with his two hands. He poured it on Lucy's neck. Making the bleeding stop after a wash. He clicked his tongue as he saw the bite marks of Laxus--soon being covered by a small, yellow scale. It started to spread; slowly. His hand grazed at her beautiful, porcelain face. Caressing her cheek. She fell asleep.
"Remember when I asked you if I were to do something that would make you angry, what would that be? Well, I hope you won't be angry with me when I do this," Rogue's lips kissed the crook of Lucy's neck, softly. He opened his mouth a bit, his sharp fangs gazing over the spot where Laxus had bit her earlier. He bit her. His fangs dug through her skin. Making her whimper in her sleep. Rogue took his fangs out, licking the blood away.
"After all, it's so that you could stay mine." Rogue said, before planting a kiss on her forehead. Fleeing before Lucy even woke up.
