Five- Castor and Cadenza

Sly's POV

I took Jess's hand as the village all filed away and we sat against a tree.

"Hey Jess, wanna go on a date?" I asked.

She looked at me weirdly. "We're married, Sly."

I laughed. "So? That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to go on a date with you does it?"

Jess nodded, it was true. "Yeah, alright then. A date."

I grinned and we sat back and just enjoyed watching the village go about it's daily business.

Jess's POV

I stood up and stretched. "I'm going to do my daily rounds. Sly, go ahead and just talk to people, I guess." I shrugged. "I don't know what you wanna do."

Sly laughed. "I think I'm going to go talk to that Garroth and Laurence more."

I nodded. "Alright. Either they're in the Guard tower I built, where they live, with another guard named Dante, or in the new and actual guard tower, with Dante."

I showed him where both were and he left to talk to them. I went into the plaza.

Nicole came over and dragged me off to the side. "Lady A- Jessica, I need to talk to you."

I smiled at her. "About what?"

She took a deep breath. "IlikeGarroth." She said.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that." I said.

She kinda glared for a moment, then sighed. "I like Garroth." She said.

I smiled. "Really?"

She nodded. "But I don't know what to do, how to act around him, how to tell him."

I nodded as well. "I see. Well, do you know if it's just attraction or-"

She cut me off. "I think I love him."

My smile got bigger. "Then, um, just tell him, I guess...? I don't know, I'm not the best when it comes to this kind of thing. But just be yourself around him, get to know him a bit."

Nicole nodded. "I'll talk to him, become his friend, before I tell him. Take it slow, make sure I still like him after learning more about him."

I giggled. "Perfect. Oh, and, if you do end up with him, congrats."

She laughed. "Thanks." We parted ways and I went to talk to Cadenza.

At her house, I knocked and she immediately opened the door. "Hey."

"Hey." I said back. We went downstairs and I took a breath. "Cadenza, how do you feel about the Chicken Shaman?"

Cadenza shrugged. "Well, I mean, he's funny, and cute. But crazy."

I grinned. "You know, you're technically engaged to him from the whole chicken thing. What do you think about that?"

She tilted her head. "Eh. I'd be more excited if he wasn't insane."

"What if I told you that the crazy thing is just an act and the Chicken Shaman is my friend, Castor?" I asked.

"Then I'd love to actually talk to the real him." Cadenza said.

"I can do that." I said. "Here, let's go outside and I'll show you." I was still wearing my suit and had Mjölnir in my hand. "Take my arm, and hold tight."

Cadenza did so, and I flew to Castor's. "Woah." She said when we landed.

"Yeah. Fun, huh?" She laughed and we went up to the door and I knocked.

"Ah, terri-" Castor began.

"Cut the act." I shook my head. "The village knows my past- I told them. Sly's in Phoenix Drop right now, actually."

Castor grinned. "Then come in, you two." We came in and sat down. "What's all this about?"

"Since you two are 'engaged', and Castor, I know you like her, and Cadenza, you like him, so you should get to know each other." I shrugged.

They both laughed. "Alright then." Cadenza agreed.

"Sounds good." Castor nodded.

"Then I'll be off. Castor can bring you home, Cadenza, when you two are done." I said, and left.

Back in the village, I made sure Donna and Logan were okay- they were. Actually, they were building their house.

Brendan was talking to a new girl. "Hi!" She said when I came over. "My name is Issa!"

I smiled. "Nice to meet you, Issa. I'm Jessica, the Lady of this village."

She shook my hand and turned back to Brendan. For once he was talking to her like a normal person and not stalking her. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he liked her. A lot.

Emmalyn was showing Kenmur, who had moved into the village last week, her library.

Corey and Emma were with Kyle in the playground with Molly, Dale, and Alexis. Levin and Malichi were there with Zoey as well.

The guys were in the tower with Sly, all laughing over something. Brian was on patrol at the gates.

I went to Kiki's place. She was sitting in a circle of animals with Leona.

"Jessica!" Kiki said excitedly. She was easily able to begin calling me that.

"Hey, Kiki. What's up?" I asked.

"Nothing much. Leona's been showing signs of having majicks like me." Kiki replied. "Animal majicks, like talking to them, connecting with them, you know?"

I nodded. "That's nice." Leona giggled and held her hands out to me.

Kiki laughed. "I guess she wants you to hold her. You don't mind, right?"

I happily accepted Leona and she shifted in my arms a bit. "No, I don't mind. I love children."

"Do you have any kids with Sly?" Kiki asked. "I mean, like biological kids."

I shook my head. "Nope. Technically I have four adopted sons, my older two are Leo and Flippy. They, they were attacked by zombies." I closed my eyes and wiped them. "Anyway, that was years ago. If I did have a kid, I'd want a daughter."

Kiki nodded. "I can see why." I handed Leona back to her.

"Bye Kiki, I'm going to go check on Kawaii~chan." I said.

"Bye, Jess, can I call you that, by the way?" She asked.

I laughed and nodded. "Go ahead." I left the barn and went to Kawaii~chan's. She was looking at cake recipes.

"Oh! Jessica~Sempai!" She also had no trouble with my name. "Kawaii~chan was just making a cake for Dante~kun. We're dating now." She giggled.

I grinned. "Really?"

"Yeah." Kawaii~chan giggled again.

"Then I'll leave you to that. He said once, on our journey to save Logan, that he likes chocolate the most, for your information."

"Thank you Jessica~Sempai!" Kawaii~chan said, then turned back to the recipe book, already flipping to chocolate cakes.

Katelyn was at the beach, sitting on the docks.
