The aroma of cooked meat was in the air. Clarke walked down an aisle which lead to a very large room, the room was the highest floor of the Polis tower. Multiple guards passed Clarke, bearing food, carrying silver plates which had Apples and other Fruits resting on them. There was a large table, which stretched out to the tip of the room, and at the end of that table, was Commander Lexa, sitting there, a smile on her face. Lexa rose up from her seat onto her heels.

"En Sitta Em Ste Taim Gon Dina." Lexa announced. Clarke stepped right up to her side, Lexa turning to look into her eyes. "it is time to eat, Clarke. Pull up a chair and sit next to me." Clarke nodded, about to retrieve a chair, but a Grounder Guard retrieving it for her.

"For you SkaiHeda." The Grounder placed it right aside Lexa's seat, and Clarke plopped right down. Lexa however, stood upon her feet, and waited for every grounder to take their seat around the large table, which had pots of soup, trays of bread, slabs of meat, and in the center, was a boars head, cooked so well, you wouldn't have noticed it was an animal in the first place.

"Attention everyone, please be seated!" Lexa announced loudly, the last few grounders who were straddling around plopped down in wooden chairs, while others just leaned back against the walls. "I would like to announce that tomorrow is the day we will obtain our victory! It is the time of revenge and retribution! It is a time of war!" A few claps were heard, as others praised Lexa's bold tone. "Today we feast, tomorrow, we fight!" Clarke stared up at Lexa. Hours earlier she seemed like a sweet innocent teenage girl like Clarke, but now with her warpaint on, and armor, she looks like the ruthless ruler she knew from the start, the Throne women. The doors behind Clarke opened right up, and in stepped a pack of guards, one of the guards were Ajax, he carried a basket which had multiple types of fruits and berries stuffed in it. "What is the meaning of this? Why are you interrupting my ceremony?" Lexa asked hoarsely, turning around to confront the untimely Grounder guards, while Clarke just sat there quietly and watched.

"I apologize Heda, but we found this Basket outside the Polis gates. There is a card, labeled 'For The Heda Of The Coalition.' It must be a gift from one of the twelve clans, maybe this basket represents good luck before our war tomorrow." Ajax shrugged, extending his arms out, with the basket between the two. Lexa eyed the basket suspiciously, digging her hands into a jumble of fruits, pulling out a shiny red apple. premonition was dangling in her bright green eyes, as she continued to eye it oddly. That is when Clarke got up from her seat, and trudged over to her. Every eye in the room was on Lexa, who continued to stare at the apple.

"Why don't you take a bite, Ajax?" Lexa asked, placing the basket on the floor with her left hand, while using her right hand to give it to Ajax. Ajax eyed it oddly as well, but shrugged, taking a small chomp out of the apples exterior, chewing it slowly, and swallowing. Lexa stared at him a few moments, tilting her head. She wanted to make him check it, to assure that the Apple wasn't tainted. Ajax handed it back to her, as she flipped it over to the side that wasn't bitten, Ajax fell right to the floor, groaning in a loud pain. Clarke's jaw dropped a tad bit, as she backed up, unsure of what to do. "The Apple is tainted! The Ice Nation probably sent this basket to infect us before the war! Well are not allowing that to happen, they think they have the best of us? No, they actually don't because we are leaving right now! From Polis to Edens path! The Ice Queen won't be expecting us, now lets go...Someone help him up and bring him to the infirmary floor, now!" Lexa gestured towards Ajax, who was coughing his guts out on the floor. Clarke cringed, noticing his eyes begin to bubble some blood out from the bottom.

"Wait--we're leaving right now!? the War is beginning right now!?" Clarke asked in a worried tone. Lexa nodded, staring deep into her eyes.

"Yes. The Ice Nation are attacking early, and beginning early with the war. That gift basket is an act of war. That was their first move, our first move, is going to be the attack..now come on, we can make a trip past the God's wreckage, lets go." Lexa turned to open the doors, stepping into the halls, followed by every Grounder who attended the dinner. Clarke shrugged and followed, she hoped that the hundred were transported back to the Arks wreckage by now. She wondered why Lexa called it the Gods wreckage, but then she remembered. The Grounders believe that the gods give them a new commander every time a pod comes down from the Ark. The Grounders believe that the Ark is some sort of god. As silly as it sounded, Clarke felt bad for Lexa and her people, their whole religious views are a sham. But religious views and the Ark don't matter right now, it is time for war. Looks like blood will be on the battlefield sooner then Clarke thought.
