Frank-

"I-I have to t-tell you someth-thing", Gerard stuttered.

You would think when I looked into his dark hazel eyes, I would see red tinging his eyes, with tear falling and his sniffling nose looking red as his face from holding his breath to hold in the sobs. But his face was dry. No tears. No red eyes. Just regular old Gerard.

My phone buzzed in my pocket. I heard Gerard's ringtone go off as well. I took my phone out and noticed that my boss was calling whom I abandoned to sleep (and frolic around).

"Oh, Mr. Wentz is calling", I showed Gerard before hitting the answer button.

"Mikey's calling me", he muttered, as the phone was already to his ear.

"Hello?" I answered, tuning Mikey out.

"Hey lover boy, you still tired?" he teased.

"No, I'm out with Gerard. Do you need me to come back in?" I gibed.

This was when I noticed that it was nearing four o'clock. Times flies when you're having fun, I guess.

"No, you can keep it up with your little date, but we're dropping your car off. You left your keys in Mikey's car as it was", he sounded really happy but that's not what I'm focusing on.

"I don't have a crush on him", I huffed defensively at the same time Gerard did.

Him and I looked at each other, made eye contact, blushed, and looked away.

"Whatever", we both dismissed at the same time.

This time, we didn't make eye contact when it happened. We just kept blushing at the floor as if the floor were flirting with both of us at the velocity Pete flirted with Mikey.

"Okay, whatever you say, I know you have some kind of puppy love for him, dude", he ridiculed.

"Okay, probably", I rolled my eyes. "But thanks for dropping off my car. I'll see you tomorrow".

"Wait, probably what?" Pete giggled.

"Nothing, fuck you", I cursed, noticing Gerard wasn't on his phone any longer.

I ended the call with him and went back to talking to Gerard. I completely forgot about the fact that he needed to tell me something. We talked until the store was supposed to close. As it grew darker, the establishment cleared out.

A guy came into the door. He was in a uniform for the local Domino's and he went straight to the Beebo guy. Then two more came in, who actually worked at my place of work. Spencer and Dallon. Gerard's eyes lit up.

"Ryan", he called.

He looked around and noticed Gerard and waved at him.

"Hey, Gerard and Frank, you guys on a date?" Spencer asked.

"Oh, no no no no no", Gerard shook his head.

"No, we just went to get applications for Gerard", I clarified.

"Yeah, for me", I smiled.

"This was the person who I talked to high Brendon", Ryan pointed at Gerard.

"Oh God, why didn't you say anything? Dude, you're hired", Beebo chimed in.

"Oh my God, really", Gerard smiled. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I'll still need you to fill out the application and bring it to me, but you can work here", Brendon shrugged. "I've had the biggest crush on Ryan for forever".

"Same here", Ryan raised his hand timidly.

Spencer and Dallon looked at each other with knowing looks. Gerard thanked them, smiling. We gave them all hugs and left so Brendon could shut down. We made our way back to Gerard's apartment (incident free) and when we got up there, Gerard opened the door with his key and we sat on his couch.

I saw my car, but Gerard didn't particularly make me leave, so I decided to stay. Before I knew it, I fell asleep on his shoulder watching

Mikey-

As we drove back to my apartment, Pete offered to walk me up to my room. This was a sketchy town and he didn't want me to get hurt.

"Yeah, we can make some coffee or something. I wonder if Gerard and Frank have gotten back from getting job applications yet", I shrugged.

"He doesn't have a job?" Pete clarified.

This made me silent. I try to keep some stuff out of my mouth so people don't ask questions. I didn't want people to know my brother was a couch ridden loser who hasn't worked in two years and barely leaves the house because of his PTSD. It took a lot to not get his deadly accident on the news.

You may be asking, "If Gerard didn't die, how was it deadly?".

Never mind that.

I was stuck in my head and realized I never answered Pete's question. He was wise and left it at that. We parked and went inside where we saw Frank's head on Gerard's shoulder and Gerard's head on Frank's head. They were fast asleep, and not even Pete's thumping due to his unadjustment to apartment floors could wake them up.

I turned off the flickering TV and without a regard to coffee, Pete and I went to my room. I hoped to God that asshole Pete wouldn't come out while my brother and coworker were in my living room.

He shut the door behind him and leapt onto my bed. He had a look of curiosity in his eyes which made him as young as I knew he was. He was quite young. He's only been running this business for a few years.

"So, are you ready to get rekt?" he smiled mischievously.

"What do you mean by 'get rekt'?" I wiggled my eyebrows suggestively.

"Oh, you know what I mean", he winked.

"Then no," I shrugged, vexing him on.

"You're such a tease", he rolled his eyes.

He rolled onto his stomach and held up his chin with his two hands, fluttering his eyelashes at me. Him and I made conversation for thirty minutes until he informed me he had to leave. It kind of made my heart drop. I wanted to ask him to stay the night, but it was way too soon. On my best judgement, I agreed with him.

We were at my bedroom door, bidding our goodbyes. I hugged him and my heart fluttered.

I sent him out and I heard him quickly leave so he wouldn't be caught by my brother.

As I laid in my bed that night, the thought of Pete kept coming up. I could physically feel the butterflies fluttering around. My emotions were a ping-pong match.

Going back and forth between one decision or the other until the ball eventually fell on one side and the other side one. The Pete vs. Reputation side is in a battle that was starting a fire in my brain.
