"You are all good to go missy." Mr. Doctor-Man tells me.

Honestly, why do I have to keep going to this hospital?

One of the good things that happened was that I got to see my mom. She's still in a coma but she looks like Sleeping Beauty, her face looks beautiful, and her hands are resting on her stomach. She needs a rose to hold. I combed my fingers through her hair and kissed her cheek before walking back to the Doctor-Man.

I need to get his name, he sounds like some villain in a movie.

"Make sure you don't hit your head on anything for a few days, can you do that for me?" He asks with a smile.

"I'll see what I can do." I say, giving him a smile and a thumbs-up. The cut was only minor but they had to give me stitches. I ate a lot of ice cream at that hospital, I'm gonna have to do double-time at soccer.

My dad puts a hand around my shoulder and shakes the doctor's hand. "Thank you so much, Doctor."

"The pleasure's all mine." Mr. Doctor-Man says. I wonder why people say that when obviously they have to take time out of their day, when they clearly don't want to. Maybe he's saying that because he got money.

"You coming, Kiera?" My dad asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. He's already started walking away. I jog up to him and give him a cheesy smile. He returns it with an equally cheesy smile and presses the elevator button.

"Ready to go back to school?" He asks as we go down. When I was younger I would jump up and down in every elevator trying to make it fall.

"No." I say simply. Of course I'm not, who would? I missed yesterday, I wonder if Asher went.

"Well you can get some rest for today and then go back tomorrow." My dad says as we step out of the elevator.

"Sounds good to me." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"Kiera! Get out of bed!" My dad yells at me from the bottom of the stairs.

I groan and look for my alarm clock. It reads 7:15. Wait, 7:15?!

Oh fudge I have to be outside for the bus at 7:30!

I fall out of bed, tangled in my bed sheets. I let out a scream of frustration as I attempt to find something to wear.

Settling on a hoodie and skinny jeans, I apply some mascara and eyeliner. I'm not much of a makeup person- it's just never interested me.

I run down the stairs, tripping over Hershey at the bottom. He yelps and I jump up to make sure he's ok. He seems ok as he's licking my face.

"Kiera! You're gonna be late for the bus!" My dad says, handing me a plate of pancakes. He's actually a very good cook, but my mom is better.

I check the time- 7:26, I quickly shove the pancakes into my mouth and grab my backpack. "Bye dad! Love you!" I call over my shoulder. "Love you too, Tiger! Remember there's practice after school. Oh! I almost forgot, remind me to tell you something at practice." He says quickly. I arch an eyebrow in confusion and open my mouth to ask what it is when the bus pulls up to the driveway. I wave goodbye and open the door to find a very startled Cameron.

"Uh, hey, Kiera." He says awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

"Hey yourself." I say, looking into his big brown eyes.

He doesn't move so I raise an eyebrow at him. He looks at me, oblivious to the fact that I need to get behind him.

Yes, my dad still takes him to school. I don't know why he doesn't take the bus.

I see the bus pull away and my eyes widen as I watch it go down the road. "You made me late!" I sigh exasperatedly.

"Oh, you were going on that bus?" He says, a smirk creeping up his face. He meant to do that.

I swear I'm gonna kill that turd nugget.

"Looks like you'll have to ride with your dad and I." He says, the smirk only growing. I narrow my eyes at him and stomp over to my dad. "Dad, I missed the bus. Can I use the keys?" My dad turns around from where he was standing and laughs, ruffling up my hair with his hand. "Sure kiddo. Is Cam- Oh hey Cameron!"

My dad waves to a smiling Cameron, handing me the keys.

"Hey, Keith!" Cameron says, nodding his head at my dad.

"Get in the car you two, I'll be out in a minute." My dad says, walking to his room. Cameron winks at me as I walk by him and I roll my eyes.

As I start the car, Cameron sits in the passenger seat.

"You're a jerk face." I say, breaking the silence.

"Who, me?" Cameron says, placing a hand over his heart to feign hurt.

"Yes, you." I say, rolling my eyes yet again.

"Well, it was a pretty smart idea wasn't it?" He asks, wiggling his eyebrows.

I give him my hardest glare and he shuts up. Finally. "Kiera." He says. Ugh. I don't answer. "Kiera Kiera Kiera Kiera Kiera." He pesters. "WHAT?" I say, frustrated.

"Hi." He says and laughs.

"That's not funny." I say.

"Oh, but it is. You're cute when you're angry." He says matter-of-factly. I feel heat creep up my neck and I look out the window.

"Awwww is the big scary Kiera blushing?" He says in a high voice.

"No..." I say, trying to sound angry, but it comes out more like I'm unsure of myself.

Great, just great.

"Kiera, I want there to be an us." Cameron says quickly.

I look at him in shock but quickly collect myself. "I already have a boyfriend." Now it's his turn to be shocked.

"Who...?" He says, in a small voice. I suddenly feel bad for him. He looks so helpless, so vulnerable.

"Asher." I say simply. I watch him swallow. He looks out the window but I can see the tears in his eyes through the reflection. Who knew he could be so sensitive?

"Alright, kiddos. Time to go." My dad says, opening the drivers door. I step out and say, "Dad I'm gonna take my bike."

"Oh. Are you sure honey?" He asks. "Yea, dad. See you tonight." I say, distractedly.

"Alright honey. Be safe." He says. I nod at him and grab my bike. I need the fresh air.

Hello, lovelies! I decided to update a little bit early than I usually do. You're welcome.

This was kinda just a filler chapter, I wanted to write something different but I figured it was going too fast so I did this one.
