~Asher POV~

I set the phone down on Jordan's bed with a smile on my face, it won't seem to go away.

"Asher, dude what the frick is wrong?" Chase says, walking in. He sees the smile on my face and raises his eyebrow.

"I'm sorry Chase, about back there." I nod my head in the direction of the door and look down.

"That's ok, but bro, you are like, glowing." He says with a boyish grin.

"About that..." I start to say but stop as Jordan walks in.

"You guys are wanted downstairs." He says, starting to turn around. "Why is Asher smiling like an idiot?" He says with a smirk.

"I was just about to find out." Chase replies, folding his arms across his chest and looking at me.

"I called Kiera." I say simply. There's no point in hiding it, they wouldn't let me sleep until I told them.

"Ooooh...." Chase says, punching my arm.

"Ouch." I say, rubbing my arm but smiling when Chase looks concerned.

"So what phone did you use?" Jordan says, his face looking grim.

Panic rises in my chest and I briefly consider lying but decide against it. "I used yours... I'm sorry I should've asked, but I really just needed to call her because I'm fighting  so many emotions and she just makes me feel so at peace and-"

"Ash, chill. It's ok, as long as you don't keep rambling about all that." He says, smiling again. "But really, we need to be downstairs."

I nod my head and walk out the door, a small smile on my lips.

~Kiera POV~

"Why is he here?" I ask, looking at the unwelcome guest.

"Ouch, that hurt." Cameron says, placing a hand over his heart.

"Dustin!" Alexis calls out, eyeing Cameron.

"What?" Dustin says, coming out of the kitchen with a pizza box.

Alexis points at Cameron and he says, "Look, Dusty, if they don't want me here I can-"

"No, it's ok." Dustin says. "Alex, what's wrong with him being here? You knew he was over."

"No... I didn't. In the text you said you needed a guy to hang out with, and wanted to know if you could invite someone." She says, glaring at Dustin.

"He's a guy, isn't he?" Dustin says.

Alexis rolls her eyes and looks at me. "Let's go."

She starts to walk out the door, but I say "No, Alex. It's ok. He's my friend."

"Didn't sound like I was your friend a couple minutes ago..." Cameron says under his breath.

I shoot him a glare and then look at Alexis. "It's alright. Let's just have fun."

"Are you sure?" She says skeptically.

"One-hundred percent." I say with a smile.

-2 hours later-

"Kiera, I need to talk to you." Cameron says to me quietly.

"About what?" I say, looking at my feet.

"I think you already know that."

My heart races and I look into his brown eyes. "Fine. Where?"

"I was wondering if we could go on a walk." He says, rubbing the back of his neck and looking at me sheepishly.

"Ok. Dustin, Alexis, we're going on a walk." I say, looking at the two, who are currently bickering about how to play Spoons. I swear, they act more like siblings than friends.

"Ok. Have fun, don't stay out too late." Dustin says, giving a pointed look at Cameron.

I walk out the door and put my hands in my pocket. The cold wind bites at my arms and legs but I push the thought away. Cameron looks at me and smiles. "Forgot a hoodie?"

"No, I'm not cold." I say stubbornly.

He scoffs and takes his hoodie off. "Princess."

I blush but look away, trying to conceal it. I take the hoodie from his outstretched hand and pull it over my head. "You're cheesy." I say, looking at him.

"I could take it back." He says with a wide grin.

I cross my arms and sigh. "Thanks."

"Anytime."

We walk in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before Cameron stops and puts his hands on my shoulders. "Kiera, I freaking love you. I thought you felt the same way but then that kid showed up and you were gone. I should've taken my chance when I could, and I regret that every single day." He looks into my eyes and there's true hurt in them. I look away, trying to avoid his eyes.

"Didn't you feel this way at one point?" He asks.

"Yes...no... I don't know." I stutter.

He drops his head in defeat. "Ok, just...think about it." He says, walking away.

"You're leaving?" I say in disbelief.

He turns around and points to the house behind me. "I brought you back."

"Oh." I say, realizing my mistake.

He nods and turns around again.

"Cameron..." I say.

He looks at me once again and I see the tears in his eyes.

"I'm just confused. Let's meet up tomorrow and talk ok? Meet me at the Starbucks down the road at 3:00." I barely get out.

"Really? Coffee at 3:00? Ok Princess." He says, forcing a smile.

I walk inside and realize that I still have his hoodie. I run out the door but he's gone.

I'll just give it to him tomorrow.
