{Cameron POV}

"Cameron! Pass!" Justin calls to me. I could easily get a goal from where I'm at, but I cross the ball over to him anyways. He jumps into the air and kicks it from the air and the bright orange ball sails right over the goalie's hands and into the net. Ok, that was a much better goal than I could've gotten from this angle.

Justin fist-pumps the air before he's tackled by 9 boys, all shouting excitedly. I scan the field, something is missing from this picture- Kiera. She's on the bench with her head in her hands. I jog over with a happy grin on my face and sit next to her.

"You okay?" I ask.

"No." She mumbles.

"Wanna talk about it?"

She looks at her dad, who is cheering on the sidelines. His face shows nothing but pride for his whole team. Can he see that his daughter is falling apart?

"Yea, that would be great." She smiles at me, "After the game?"

"Of course. I'll pick you up at 9 ok?"

"Okeedoke."

"Do you want a hug for now?" I ask. I kinda want a hug, hopefully she says yes.

"I'd never say no to a hug." She gives me a giant smile and my heart nearly stops.

Kiera and I are at McDonalds, I bought her a hot chocolate because she said she was cold, which never happens. So she must be feeling sad. Her head is resting on my shoulder, one hand holding the hot chocolate and the other holding my hand. I hold her hand gently, trying not to squeeze.

"So I'm just really upset over everything he's hiding from me." Kiera finishes, tears glistening in her eyes.

I look at her and give a sad smile, wishing she could be alright. "Well, he's gone through quite a lot, like with the divorce. Maybe he's trying to fill a hole in his heart. Do you think he's trying to protect you?"

"Maybe, like with the whole Julia thing. I don't know any excuses for the bottles we found." She sniffs.

"Hey," I lift her chin up, "Please don't cry, you're killing me on the inside. It's gonna be alright, don't you worry about a thing, Princess."

She smiles.

Goal achieved. I really hope I'm never the reason to make her cry.

Hey guys! I'm done with school now so I can actually write! Finally!

Yea I know this is a short chapter, but it's kinda just a filler chapter for those who were wondering what the heck happened to Cameron. Don't worry, he's still there, obviously...

So I'll be writing more these next couple weeks, I'm so happy :)

I feel really unproductive because I no longer have to cram 10 math assignments into one day... Anybody know the feeling? Well, it makes me feel super crappy about myself as a person so I'll channel that negativity into writing and hopefully drawing. Haven't done that in forever.

Expect a chapter really soon! ;)
