{Kiera POV}
"This picture was taken three years ago." I say, pinning a picture of a baby on my wall.
"Yea, I can't tell if it's a boy or a girl. What do you think?" Cameron says, looking at the picture with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"I can't tell either. That makes it hard." I sigh.
"Guys come on! We're gonna be late for this game!" My dad shouts from the bottom of the stairs.
Cameron and I walk out of my room and shut the door behind us. We cannot let my dad know about any of this.
Aren't you such a cute little hypocrite?
Is there any way to make you shut up?
I'm your thoughts, your anxiety, and your greatest enemy. Good luck making me shut up. I am you.
I know. Please go away I'll deal with you later.
Right. Good luck on losing your game.
Thanks.

"Ok Princess, this is your moment. Everyone out there knows there's a girl playing and most of them aren't too happy. They think a girl can't play a 'boy's sport on a boy's team'. Prove 'em wrong." Cameron winks at me."I'll do my best." I smile.
"You always do." He gives me a long hug before we go to our positions on the field with him at forward and me playing at stopper.
Normally I'd be at midfield but my dad is playing me just a little farther back because of all the anger about me playing. He says to lay low, Cameron says to show them who's boss. I like Cameron's idea better. But, I'll play cute and innocent for the first few minutes and then they'll get the real deal. And they'll wish they never messed with me.

{Dustin POV}
I'm sitting in the bleachers at Kiera and Cameron's game, and I'm so nervous for Kiera. Not only do they not want her there, but a few of the people are actually mocking and jeering at her.Alexis finally arrives, I hate sitting by myself at these things.
"Hey kid. Sorry I'm late, I stopped for snacks."
Instantly forgiven.
"Cool, what'd you get?"
"Only your most favorite things ever, Cool Ranch Doritos and a coke. Oh and don't forget the Reese's." She smiles at me, all proud of herself.
"Wow, good job. Thanks man." I say, taking the snacks from her.
"No problem. So how's it going for Kiera?"
"Well, I hope she can't hear the crowd because they're not being so nice and-"
Suddenly someone shouts, "A girl is playing? GET OFF THE FIELD YOU USELESS MIDGET! GO PLAY WITH YOUR MAKEUP AND BARBIE DOLLS!"
I turn around, anger boiling inside me, to find a middle-aged man with a beer in one hand and his phone in the other, recording Kiera.
I take a quick glance at Kiera, she has a frown on her face and it seems that she's fighting back tears. Everyone else is up at the other team's goal and probably didn't hear. But I heard loud and clear.
"Alexis, please hold my glasses."
"What? Why?"
I hand her the glasses and clear my throat. This will be fun.
"You wanna record my friend and say rude things?! Huh?! Record THIS!" I lunge at the man, catching him by surprise. His beer falls to the ground, spilling all over him on the way down. I scream in the most manly voice as I possibly can, basically sounding like a wild rabbit being eaten by a mountain lion, and punch him in the jaw before yanking his phone away. I send the video to my number and then delete it from his phone.
He's sitting there cupping his jaw with his hand, he didn't even fight back. I smooth my long black hair and straighten my shirt before giving a satisfied "Hmph" and then I walk back over to Alexis.
"May I please have my glasses back?" I ask politely.
"S-sure..." She's shocked as well. And, if I'm being honest, I am too. That's the one and only time I will take charge and step outside of my comfort bubble. I have succeeded.
The rest of the crowd is quiet now, but I hear an occasional comment about a girl playing every so often. Every time I do though, I just turn around and glare. That shuts them up real good.
*Ding Ding* my phone notifies me that I've been sent a message.
This video is gonna go viral.
