"Come on, Reid." Morgan said. "Grow some, and just go talk to her."
"I have some thank you." I said, annoyed. "And I'm sure she doesn't even recognize me." I took a drink of my water.
"Why are you drinking that?" Morgan asked.
"Cause." I said. "Beer burns my throat, and I'm driving." Morgan rolled his eyes and took a drink of his beer.
"your just a party pooper." he said.
"Am not." I said.
"Then why do you act-"
"Spencer?" I looked over to see Grace standing there, smiling. "Oh my gosh! Is that really you?" I stood up, my heart racing in my chest.
"Um, hey Grace." I greeted. "Yea it's really me. Is this you, really?" I mentally slapped myself. "I ment is this really you."
Grace giggled, making me even more nervous. Girls and me don't..mix. I'm surprise I can even say something to her.
"Your so adorable." she said. I could feel my face burning.
"T-Thanks." I studdered. I could hear Morgan chuckling behind me, and I rolled my eyes.
"How have you been?" she asked, leaning against the edge of the table.
"I've been good, you?" I asked. I crossed my arms across my chest, and Grace's eyes grew wide.
"Woah!" she yelled, reaching down for my gun that hung on my waist. I backed away.
"Sorry." I said. "For my use only."
"You own that?" she asked. "Since when have you carried a gun?"
"Since he started on the force!" Morgan chimmed in, nudging me with his elbow. "He's with the FBI."
Grace's face light up. "Really?"
I nodded, smiling.
"My old boyfriend was arrested by the FBI." Grace added, and sighed. "He was a butt face anyways." I added a nervous chuckle while Morgan cracked up behind me.
"Can I buy you a drink?" I asked suddenly.
"No thanks." Grace said, holding up a hand. "I don't feel like drinking tonight."
I nodded, and offered her my seat. She took it, smiling. I slipped into the seat infront of her, and Morgan smiled.
"Shut up." I muttered.
"What?" Grace asked.
"Nothing." I said quickly as Morgan's mouth opened to answer her. "Nothing." I added in a more calm tone.
Grace raised an eyebrow at me and smiled. "Okay.."
For the rest of the night, Grace and I casually talked. Morgan was kind of in our little loop of conversations, but eventually got bored, and walked off to go find something better to do.
Good thing too. I was getting nervous with Morgan sitting right there. Now that he was gone I could actually calm my nerves, and talk to Grace without studdering.
"So how have you been?" Grace asked as she took a sip of her water.
"I've been well." I said. Grace giggled suddenly. "What?"
"You said well." she said, smiling.
"Whats to funny?" I asked, confused.
"You said well." she repeated. "It makes me feel like we are in English class again, and your correcting the teacher when someone asks 'How are you?' and she goes 'Good, and you?' " She giggled again. "I think its cute."
