She said, I was seven and you were nine
I looked at you like the stars that shined
In the sky, the pretty lights
And our daddies used to joke about the two of us
Growing up and falling in love and our mamas smiled
And rolled their eyes and said oh my my my

"Come on Justin!" I yelled. The warm, summer sun beamed down on my tiny, bare shoulders. Justin, my best friend, jogged up next to me, smiling. He was a couple inches taller than me, so he had to look down. I stomped my foot.

"What?" he asked.

"I don't like how your taller than me." I whinned. Justin rolled his eyes, and waved goodbye to his parents to walked up to mine, who were sitting on the front porch, drinking lemonade while talking.

"Want something to drink?" I asked Justin. He nodded, and we raced up to the house. My mom gave me a juice cup, and went inside to get Justin one. I handed him mine.

"This is yours." he said, smiling.

"Take it." I said. "I'll get the next one." Justin smiled, and sucked on the straw. My mom came out, and handed me a new juice box.

"So whens the wedding?" my dad joked. Justin and I ignored them. They always tease us, like saying that we are gonna get married, or something. We are only seven! Well, I am. Justin's a few years older than me.

So what?

Take me back to the house in the backyard tree
Said you'd beat me up, you were bigger than me
You never did, you never did
Take me back when our world was one block wide
I dared you to kiss me and ran when you tried
Just two kids, you and I...
Oh my my my my

"Justin!" I yelled, waving. He shot me a look that said 'go away' but I ran up to him, wrapping my arms around his waist.

"Get off me!" he yelled, untangleing my arms. I took a step back, and he glarred. "Run off." he said. I crossed my arms.

"No." I said. "Why are you being a jerk?"

"This your little sister, Justin?" Drew asked, walking up next to Justin.

"What? No." Justin said.

"Your girlfriend?" Drew asked, laughing.

"No!" Justin yelled. I just stood there, watching everything. Drew laughed and walked off. Justin turned towards me, and held a fist up.

I bolted towards my house, Justin right behind me. Kids all watched as we ran off towards a vaccant house with a big backyard. Our parents build a tire swing for Justin and me, incase we were bored one day, and wanted to just swing one day after school.

I hid behind the tree's trunk, and held my breath as I heard Justin's sneakers crunch the dead grass and leaves as he walked over to where I hid.

Somehow he found me, and jumped infront of me. I felt like crying. The look he had in his eyes scared me.

"Why are you acting like this..." I asked, my voice shaking. "Your scaring me." When I said that, the anger in his eyes softened, and he placed his hands on my shoulders, looking down at his shoes.

"I'm...sorry, Amber." he said. "I just...Drew made me mad when he asked if you were my boyfriend." I sighed too.

"I'm sorry I hugged you." I said. Justin chuckled, and took his hands off my shoulders. I slipped my backpack onto the ground, and started a game of tag. He laughed and chased after me.

After a few hours of tag, the sun set silently in the distance, past all the trees. I sat on the tire swing, and Justin lightly kicked me side to side as he sat at the base of the tree trunk.
