Game on Chapter 17

Vick’s POV

“Yes”, she said and my whole world flipped. She wanted to marry me and she was carrying my baby. I knew it’d have been easier in a few years but I didn’t regret it not for a moment. I picked her up and spun her around then stood her up and gave her a very powerful kiss. She returned the passion and I picked her up off her feet and carried my fiancée out of the infirmary. I put the ring on her finger and we went up to the commons. “So what are we going to do?” she asked as I sat her down on my lap.

“Well until the babies are born we live at Court and after that we could go traveling”, I suggested.

“Like to Egypt and Switzerland”, she said excitedly.

“Anywhere we want to go”, I said kissing her on the cheek.

“Are we sure it’s ours because Michael and I well…” she said unsure.

“The doctor checked up on that while we were sleeping it’s definitely ours”, I assured her.

“Good because I love you and I want it to be yours”, she said relieved. My smile grew even bigger and I gave her another kiss. Her words thrilled me and I was tempted to do a victory dance. “I’m tired”, she flopping down on the couch.

“Do you want to take a nap?” I asked quickly.

“No I’m not that tired I just need some rest my head I think I banged it outside”, she said lying across my legs.

“Should we go get it checked out”, I asked worried.

“What worry wart it just aches a little”, she teased. I leaned down and kissed her and she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me long and hard. Suddenly we heard a scream and we broke apart. “What?” she said looking up at Julie and Jason.

“Ring”, Julie said jumping up and down.

“Yes ring”, I said confused.

“Congratulations man”, Jason said as we both stood up. Julie pulled Grace away while I explained everything to Jason. “You did the right thing”, he said appreciatively, “looks like Ace told Julie”. I looked over to see the two girls jumping up and down and hugging.

“Here I thought Julie was all business”, I laughed.

“She’s actually quite the romantic type you won’t believe just how much”, he said watching her.

“You and Julie”, I said surprised.

“We kind of made out last night”, he said guiltily. I should have known those two fought almost as often as Grace and I fought.

“Hey boys”, the girls said joining us.

“Hello”, we said and I smiled at the way Grace’s face was lit up right now.

“Well Julie and I have some new gossip to spread if we’re allowed”, Jason asked looking from me to Grace.

“You may as well tell everyone they’re going to figure it out eventually”, Grace shrugged. They hurried off and I wrapped my arms around Grace as soon as they were gone.

“Are you ready to sleep yet?” I asked.

“One movie then a nap”, she said shaking her head.

“What movie?” I asked picking her up and sitting down on the couch with her sitting on me.

“Lion King”, she said getting up and putting it in.

“I could have put it in”, I said as she laid back down. I didn’t like her doing all the work she trip or something and hurt herself or the baby.
