Jordyn

"Dylan?!" The women gasps.
"Should I continue?" I ask.
"Yes..." She bites her lip.
I told her about the machine, then when I woke up, the needles-
"What color was the syringe?" She questions.
I think hard. I didn't really pay attention. I make a picture of the scene in mind,
"I think it was transparent," I guess.
"How full was it?"
"Do you think I was paying attention to all these details?!" A bit of anger rushing into me.
"It's for your safety-"
"My safety?!" I snap, "If you had better security, I wouldn't have been there in the first place!"
"I would like you to take a seat and calm-"
"After what I've been through?! You're out of your mind," I say tersely. "I'm not gonna walk around this stupid place and pretend everything is perfect! I'm not gonna wake up thinking that the world is fair! I'm not gonna skip around the halls thinking that the world is honest, brave, smart, kind and that every one is okay. Because the world is not perfect, nobody is, and it never will be!"
And with that, I storm out of the room, slamming the door shut behind me.

It's been a couple of days since I got back to the BFC, lots of sitting around... But finally, today I'm gonna continue training. Aidan will be my new instructor, and Tay is gonna take a break.

I walk towards my old training room. It's hard to believe that it's only been five days since I've last trained. All lot has changed in those five days; my opinion on Toby, my instructor, what's going on in BFC... It has even changed me, I'm trying to be more cautious around here, not as comfortable
"Jordyn," I turn to see Aidan waving at me with a big, giddy smile painted across his face.
"Hi," I manage to smile back.
He pulls a key out if his pocket and opens the door, offering me to enter first. I feel a slight pain in me chest; this reminds me of Toby. No, I think, I don't like him; I'm certainly not gonna feel any pain or pity for him.

"So... Let's see you fire a gun first," Aidan says, once he's locked the door.

I sigh as I pick up a gun and load it with bullets.

"This is stupid," I say. "After what's happened, I'm just gonna continue to 'train.'"
"There's always room for improvement," Aidan smirks.

I feel like I'm in a dream; things that have happened in reality repeating in my mind, but slightly different.

I spread my legs shoulder width apart and aim. I focus on the target- Aidan already set up- and relax. My breaths become steady and soft. Then, I fire. The bullet sits in the middle of the second ring.

"Not bad," Aidan raises an eyebrow.

I glare at him.

"What?!" He asks.
"You're surprised," I say flatly.
"Sorry, I just thought that... You'd be a little rusty, that's all," He says, frowning a bit.
"I am," I try not to smile. "You think that's the best I can do?"
"You're sassier than Tay," Aidan exclaims.
"Have a problem with that?" I snap my fingers mockingly.
"Girls are unpredictable," Aidan sighs.
"Sure," I mutter as I fire again. This time, the bullet is half on the second ring, half on the center. I turn and raise my eyebrows at him, "See?"
"Yes," He rolls his eyes. "I have I eyes, if you haven't noticed, now let's work on something else,"
"Like what?" I say impatiently.
"Like fighting,"
"But I suck at fighting... Physically..." I sigh.
"Well that's why we're here," He already starts to set up two dummies.
