You woke up the next morning feeling so happy it was weird. The day before had been so great that nothing could ruin today. You had work today so your alarm woke you up, but again your alarm didn't hurt your ears. Being happy felt weird it had felt like forever since you were last truly happy but now that you knew what it felt like you never wanted to let it go. You got yourself breakfast and had a shower. Dan and Phil just made you feel like the best person in the world, you were so lucky that you had met the people that had helped you survive the good times and the bad. And now that you knew them they made you feel like nothing could ever go wrong. Famous last words, most people would say but you could just feel it.

After putting on your uniform you left your flat and made your way to Starbucks. You really needed to get a new job but you had no idea what you wanted to do. You had a degree in {insert degree here} but you didn't even know where to start. London was icy this morning, it had rained the night before so the streets were sludgy and slippery. The air was slightly wet which didn't agree with your hair so by the time you had gotten to work you almost had an afro. As usual, you unlocked the doors and let in the crazies, you took their orders and waited for everyone else to arrive. Soon enough the rest of your co-workers had arrived and a few more customers came in.

The morning dragged on and you were on your break. You sat in silence with a muffin until one of your close colleges came over to you, Becky. "Hey, y/n You look cheery today." She said sitting down next to you.

You smiled. "Yeah, well I guess I found something to be happy about." You replied taking a small bite of the {muffin flavour} muffin. A large grin grew on her face.

"What? Who? When? How? Why? Where?" She said quickly, her eyes growing wide with excitement. You laughed a little to yourself.

"I've made some new friends since the breakup. They've made me really happy I guess." You replied, smiling to yourself as you stared at the ground.

"That's great y/n! Who are they?" She said practically jumping on you.

"You know just a couple boys."

"What are their names? Spill!"

"Dan and Phil."

"Yeah, and how did you meet them? Quit it with the short answers."

~~~~~:Time skip!:~~~~~
After telling Becky all about Dan and Phil, you had realised that you were breaking way over your time limit. You left Becky to slack off and went back to work at the counter. You started taking orders, then a girl came up to the counter. She looked like she was going to be stuck up, she was wearing a revealing top and an incredibly short skirt, an excessive make-up. They didn't help your optimism.
"Low Fat Pumpkin Spice Laté and make it quick I'm kind of in a hurry." She said loudly tapping her feet. You didn't bother asking her name and begun to make the drink. You slowed down on purpose just to annoy her, just because you were happy didn't mean you didn't like to get back at the 'Stuck up's.'
"Don't slow down you imbecile. My blind grandma can make a drink faster than you." She scowled leaning over the bench. You made a fake smile back at her and said, "sorry Ma'am."
"Don't call me 'Ma'am' how old do you think I am! Now hurry up or I'll sue!" She screamed.
You went to give her, her drink and snap back but you heard a familiar voice say, "I don't think you should be so rude." She scoffed at the voice ripping the drink from your hands and stomping out of the cafe. You looked up to see the voice to be Phil's. What was he doing here? Whatever the reason it warmed your heart anyway.
