You texted Lily as you headed to the market, if anyone was going to help you with cooking it was her. Lily was the daughter of the man who owned the trinket stall, Mr Tinker (ironically). Mr Tinker not only sold the trinkets but he made them since he was always busy producing the little ornaments, Lily was almost always at the market selling them. Since Lily was only a year older than you and you were always at the market so both of you became very good friends, you always came to Lily for advice, esspecially when it came to cooking advice.
You immediately saw Lily as you approached the stall. "Lily!" You screamed excitedly coming to the stall at a faster pace now. "Y/n!" She screamed back ditching the stall and jumping on you. "So what did you need? Does it have something to do with those cute boys you bought here yesterday?" She said excitedly, you looked down at the ground and smiled.
"Well... Sort of..." You trailed off. Lily squealed jumping up and down. "Lily, can I have some advice?" You asked. "Sure anything!" She replied excitedly, "could you help me with cooking some fish?" Lily's excited expression almost immediately disappeared, "sure." She replied matter-of-factly.
"Cool, so," you said preparing to elaborate. You happily told Lily everything that had happened at Starbucks this morning and how you ended up planning to cook for Dan and Phil. "Let's go then!" Lily exclaimed taking a large disposable shopping bag and your wrist as she started to drag you through the market.
Lily took you past the fruit and veg section buying some limes and oranges. "You'll need these for the glaze," she said still dragging you behind her, you nodded as she headed for the best spice stall in all of the markets, Ms Spanyta's Spice House. Ms Spanyta was the most stereotypical Spanish woman you will ever meet without going to Spain. She always wore brightly coloured garments and an excessive amount of beads, her skin was a dark tan colour and her hair was made of lots of long curly brown locks.
"Ah, ma amigos!" She greeted us, she leant down and gave Lily a hug first, "come to vist have you? How are you, my dear?" Ms Spanyta said to Lily, "good thank-you," she replied. Then she turned and gave you a hug, "come back to visit so soon?" Ms Spanyta said as she pulled away. Before you could tell her why you had come Lily butted in, "she's cooking dinner for the boys that she introduced you to yesterday!" Lily burst out. Ms Spanyta rasied her eyebrows, "there not cooking for you?" You rolled your eyes, "they invited me over for a movie night and I offered to cook dinner."
"Very well," Ms Spanyta replied, "what are you cooking?"
"Fish," Lily butted in again. "Good choice," Ms Spanyta added as she began to pour handfuls of all different spices into one of her special grain bags.
"I don't think I'll need that much," you said stopping her adding a red powder to the bag. "This isn't the only time you'll ever cook fish my dear, and don't worry this is my special mix." Ms Spanyta said continuing to pour the powder in. Lily rolled her eyes, everything was Ms Spanyta's special mix.
After you paid for the spices and just before you left, Ms Spanyta stopped you and handed you a tiny grain bag, "ancient love spice." She whispered in your ear. You smiled at her and continued walking behind Lily. Everyone at this market was so strange, they were all obsessed with you falling in love. You thanked Lily for helping you and travelled back to your flat.
A/N:
Sorry this is probably the worst and most boring filler chapter ever. I apologise for my bad writing. :/
