Do I dream
Of a world long lost,
To flames and savagery?
I dream of hope;
Of a world lost,
But waiting to be found.
Three united as one -
And thirteen at a time.
But once you fly away,
Everything will be undone.
No memory kept,
Of the day of the Doctor.
This is the moment;
And I, its conscious.
Would you be willing to pay the price,
And live on, counting the children?
Ask them,
How many children were there?
The one who regrets,
And the one who forgets.
How could you forget?
The warrior, the hero,
And what am I?
NO MORE.
GALLIFREY FALLS.
Gallifrey falls no more.
A painting cast through time,
Hope within,
Daleks destroyed.
You are the Doctor.
A promise to never forget.
Three all together,
To save all of time.
And the tenth
Is wedlock to Queen Elizabeth the I.
Do not trust the Zygons,
They shall take your form
And death shall not free you.
From their hold.
Daleks in the crossfire,
I know my choice.
Gallifrey stands.
And today, is the day of the Doctor.
That impossible day.
I do dream.
Of days to come,
Of faces to be.
Of a home long gone,
Back to the future,
And now seen.
Here I go,
The long road awaits.
The Doctor may fall,
And silence will come,
On Trenzalore,
Because that is where we are heading.
To our graves,
Each and every face.
But I am coming home.I am going home.
~~~~~ THANK YOU ~~~~~
Thank you to all the Whovians. This fandom is something special, and I have been honored to create this collection of poems. It has been a fantastic ride, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. It's hard to believe that now it's over. But everything ends, otherwise nothing would get started. This isn't just a poem for The Day of the Doctor, it's a poem to the Whovians. To the fans of fifty years of Doctor Who. To those who are the main reason Doctor Who has lasted so long. Without you, none of this would be possible. So I thank you all.
I hope someday to get this published. I know if I do attempt such a feat, I will have to get in contact with whomever holds the copyright to Doctor Who, and pay Royalty fees to them. However, I hope to share this book to more than just those who are on Wattpad.
My next collection will be for Series Eight, titled "Gallifrey Stands." (This is subject to change with the revelation of more details about series eight.) In the meantime, I have posted Doctor Who Poetry (Volume II). Feel free to check those poems out if you enjoyed this book.
And with that, Doctor Who Poetry Volume I is at a close, and I've realized one thing:
I don't want to go.
