The faithful canine,
The one who always says
Affirmative!
Oh, K-9's more than just a tin dog,
He lives and dies for you,
He's there for you when no one else is.
But treacherous compliance,
What have you done to me?
I am half the shadow of the K-9
I could be!
I dream to be free,
Like the other dogs I see,
Catching bones in the park.
And burying them under a tree.
Oh, but he'll be faithful to the day he dies,
Never saying "negative."
He was the friend
When none were present.
This is the lament of K-9,
A faithful dog in crime;
He'll never be like the other dogs,
But he's just as good;
If not better.
