"Scarlet! Nahihibang ka na ba?" 

Napayuko agad ako dahil sa lakas ng sigaw sa akin ng taong nasa harapan ko. 

"Hindi mo ba naisip ang maaaring nangyari kung itutuloy mo pa yang kahibangan mo?!" 

"Mom----" 

"Scarlet, I've let you do this on your own. Because I believe you when you told me that you won't make the same mistake again! But ano to? Ano tong naririnig ko? Ano tong nabalitaan ko?"

"Ma... Sorry. But believe me, I got this." 

"No, Scarlet. STOP. THIS. Stop this before it became worse." I sighed. I know this is a mistake. But...I really can't help but let this heart of mine speak. 

"Better stop this nonsense. I don't want you to fell on the same mistake, again. We came back because you want to study here. I'm only protecting you, Scarlet. I've told you to wait. Wait because I'll find you someone who won't hurt you. Someone that's way better than the guy from your past. I don't want you to fall in love with someone who's capable of hurting you. Ayoko na malink sa kung kani-kaninong lalake diyan," mom sips on her coffee and took a icy look at me. This is really not her. She's being overprotective now. But, ano bang magagawa ko? 

I went near her and kissed her cheeks.

"Mom, I need to go. I'll be late for class," paalam ko kay mommy. She just nod and returned reading the newspaper. 

I turned my back and made my way to the front door. But before I leave, I heard mom shouting for my name. 

"Scarlet, I'll just remind you regarding the big conference this weekend. You need to be there," she said.

"Yes mom. Noted," I told her and nagmadali ako papasok ng sasakyan. I hope this day won't end as bad as how it started.
