Nagising ako nang maramdaman kong nagvibrate ang phone ko. Nakatulog pala ako habang naghihintay sa reply ni Scarlet. Agad kong kinuha yung phone ko at chineck kung kanino galing ang message.
From: Scarlet
Message:
No, I didn't send you a package months ago. Why?
Napailing ako. Bakit ko ng aba pinag-iisipan na si Scarlet yung Sam na yun? Jusko Daniel, napapraning ka na ata.
I looked at my phone's time. It's 2 in the morning and ngayon lang rin nagreply si Scarlet. Why is she still up this late?
With that, I got up and called her.
After four rings, she answered my call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Scarlet," bungad ko.
"Hi," medyo nahihiya niyang sabi.
"Ummm.... Ano, I just want to ask you something. Why are you still up this early? Ayos ka lang ba?" I heard her chuckled.
"Hindi lang ako makatulog. Don't be so praning," she answered while laughing. I can imagine her smile.
"Sorry. Nag-alala lang naman ako. Na baka may iniisip ka. Kung may iniisip ka man, sana ako na lang yun, noh? Para naman nakangiti ka habang iniisip ako," I joked.
There's a long pause. Mga ilang segundo rin bago siya nagsalita.
"Sana nga nakangiti ako habang iniisip ka," she whispered but I am not able to hear it clearly.
"Ano sabi mo Scarlet? Pwedeng paulit kasi di ko naintindihan."
"Wala. Forget it. Sige na, matulog ka na. I'm fine. No need to be troubled," she assured me.
