The battle of passion

Prologue

March 28, 20**

"And now, I am officially confirming that these twenty-five students standing in front of you all, have passed the qualifications of an unofficial trainee. They are bound to be the next batch of Sparks College's official trainees. Congratulations!"

The loud noise of people's applause are what we can only hear that time. After being an unofficial trainee for so many months, finally, we're about to enter college. The degree that we've been waiting for- 60% performing arts and 40% academics.

I was still on stage when I was admiring a chair, like 5 meters away, that says:

"Alyanna Isabelle Z. Andrada, first honor among the unofficial girl trainees."

"And now, the moment that the media has been waiting for," she said with a hint of excitement in her voice, "we are going to talk about their future plans as official trainees."

I started to think of ways on how to answer properly in my mind.

"Mr. Stanley Villanueva and Mr. Brylle Fuentes, are you ready to be your team's leader? And what would be or remain as your motivation as the team captain?" one of the reporters asked.

"Yes, I am ready to be a team captain. You see, this is the first time that a group will be dependent on me, and I think it would be a heavy weight on my shoulders and a very reliable source of stress," he laughed a bit. "But I gave in so many thoughts about it and realized that I should just grow with them, since my responsibility is just to guide, help and listen to them and not to command what I want them to do. I think that would be my motivation for the next years as a team leader, to grow with the people that are also willing to grow with me." Stanley confidently answered.

"I am ready to be the team captain, for I believe that I'm passionate enough towards music." simpleng sagot ni Brylle

"Ms. Alyanna and Ms. Stacey, have you already decided which team you are going to join? If so, can you share your thoughts about it with us?"

Pinauna ko na si Stacey sumagot.

"As expected by everyone, I am going to join my younger brother's group, West Coast, as their second team captain. The reason why I wanted to join this group is not just because my brother is the leader and it would be easier if we can guide each other, but also, I believe that me and our members have the same style in creating music." sagot ni Stacey.

"I am going to join Voiceless. i joined the group because majority of the members are close to me and we all have one trait in common. As of now, I can't tell you what position I am going to hold since it is still unofficial and the identity of the members in our group still remains as a secret. But I am going to tell you one thing that is sure as of now: I am currently treated as the "different" member because of an understandable reason and I know it would surprise all of you, too. But I can't say it for now because it would have a chain effect with the other members' identities." excited kong sagot.

Matapos ang ilang pagflash pa ng camera, natapos na ang ceremony at isa-isa nang nagsialisan ang mga tao.

"Are you guys ready?" tanong ko sa mga magiging kagrupo ko. Kanya-kanya naman silang sagot at 'yong iba, nakuha pang humugot at magbiro.

Alam kong maraming hindi magandang pwedeng mangyari dahil sa mga ginagawa ko- ang pagpasok sa isang performing arts school, pinagpapatuloy ang pangarap at ngayon, isa sa mga maglelead ng banda. Kahit pa madaming tutol sa mga ginagawa kong 'to, alam ko sa sarili ko na walang makakapigil sakin. Yun nga lang, ang hirap sa mundong 'to, you're not always free to do whatever you like, kahit pa alam mo sa sarili mo na hindi ka naman mabibigo sa ginagawa mo at alam mong may patutunguhan lahat ng pinaghihirapan mo.

I just let out a deep sigh.

Ako ba, ready na nga ba akong harapin ang mga pwedeng mangyari sa buhay ko? Am I ready to take responsibility of my position as Voiceless' fourth team leader?
