"Jauregui coming in on our left Mila" Ariana whispers
Camila rolls her eyes and tries to pull her book out of her locker faster but Lauren walks up to her
"Hello beautiful I was wondering if you'd accompany me to a date this evening" Lauren asks hopefully holding out a single white rose while biting her lip nervously
Camila internally melts but she can't show it she's head cheerleader for gods sake and Lauren's captain of the math team, debate team AND chess club. In the words of Mean Girls "It's social suicide" so Camila has to break her heart....again
Camila sighs "No Lauren, go ask someone who actually likes you. You're wasting your time" and her heart clenches when she sees Lauren's face fall. Man she hates this. Ariana smiles sadly at Lauren when she sees her frown
Unbeknownst to Camila, Ariana knows she secretly likes Lauren it's obvious in the way Camila always stares longingly at her in class. She thinks Lauren would be great for Camila but nooooo Camila just has to care what people think
"Oh, um okay I understand I-I won't bother you anymore" Lauren mumbles sadly and walks away dropping the flower in the trash on her way to her friend Dinah who's waiting for her with open arms. She saw the whole interaction, she can't wait till Camila realizes how amazing Lauren is.
"Poor girl" Ariana mumbles with a frown
Camila just rolls her eyes she already feels bad enough...not like anyone will know
"I'm serious Milz, you always shoot her down. She's such a sweet girl and she's pretty hot" Ariana says smirking when she sees Camila clench her jaw in jealousy
"Shut up Ari let's go to class" Camila mumbles silently hoping Lauren doesn't hate her
-In Class
"Okay class can I have your attention?!" Their teacher Ms.Bellisario said to her rowdy class well everyone was rowdy except Lauren who was still sad and pouting. Dinah noticed and glared at Camila
"We have a new student she's from the South Shields in the United Kingdom. Why don't you introduce yourself sweetie?" Ms.Bellisario asked politely
Jade who was busy staring at Lauren with hearts in her eyes didn't hear her (I always pick Jade bc she's freaking adorable and I love her)
"Uhum" Ms.Bellisario cleared her throat snapping Jade out of er and Lauren's stare down
Camila however was glaring at the new girl if looks could kill she'd be dead.. Dinah chuckled noticing Camila's glare, making Camila snap her head and glare at her but Dinah just smirked and smiled
"Oh um sorry. My name is Jade Thirlwall" Jade said now embarrassed looking down when she looked up she saw curious emerald eyes staring at her and she smiled
"Okay, Jade you can sit next to Lauren. Lauren raise your hand please" Ms.Bellisario said writing the assignment on the whiteboard. Lauren shyly raised her hand and Jade walked to her sitting next to her, moving her chair a little too close to Lauren for Camila's liking
Ariana giggled when she noticed Camila's obvious jealousy "You better let Jauregui know you like her before Jade steals her" Ariana whispers while taking notes
Camila takes her eyes away from Jade and Lauren who were now obviously flirting well, Jade was flirting Lauren was a blushing mess. Which Camila would've found adorable if it wasn't for Jade
"I don't like that dweeb" Camila whispers unconvincingly
"Yeah suuuure because I always stare longingly at people I don't like" Ari says rolling her eyes she's done with Camila's bullshit she just wants her to date Lauren already
Camila snaps her mouth shut at that
"If you don't make a move Jade will. Well she already is so you better hurry" Ariana whispers noticing Jade whisper in Lauren's ear and Lauren smiling widely
Camila sees that and sighs sadly "I can't. She's the biggest nerd in school and I'm the most popular"
Just when Ariana is going to smack Camila upside the head the bell rings signaling class is over
-Lunch
"Okay, this is where Dinah and I sit. It's just the two of us because if you haven't noticed not that many people like me" Lauren says nonchalantly as if she's use to people being rude which makes Jade frown
"Well, I like you. You're pretty awesome Lo" Jade says sweetly as they sit down making Lauren blush
"Thank you, I like you also you're pretty...I-I mean not that I'm solely focusing on your looks because although you're attractive you're also very nice" Lauren rambles nervously she's use to getting rejected so she's waiting for Jade to laugh in her face which surprisingly doesn't happen
"You're so adorable thank you" Jade says with a adoring smile
Meanwhile on he other side of the cafeteria Camila is once again glaring daggers at poor Jade. That is until Dinah shows up at her table
"Ew what do you want Hansen?" Taylor sneers while her henchmen Gigi and Becky laugh
Dinah merely rolls her eyes and says "Swift I'll knock you on your ass later I have business to handle" and with that she grabs Camila by her shirt pulling her to an empty hallway
"Ow what the hell! Let go" Camila whines and sighs in relief when Dinah let's her go
"Are you stupid ?" Dinah questions seriously
Camila crosses her arms over her chest "Psh no!"
"Then why the hell are you letting Jade steal Lauren? I know you've been a complete bitch to her because you like her and think this is kindergarten but if you don't do something Jade will ask out Lauren." Dinah says putting her hands on her hips staring Camila down
Camila visibly shrinks "You.. You think Lauren would go out with her?" Camila squeaks out
Dinah sighs dramatically "Yup, why wouldn't she? Jade has been here half a day and already treated her better than you have in 9 years" Dinah spits
Camila's face falls knowing it's true
"Just tell her how you feel. Figure your heart out because Lauren is the best person I know and you'd be a idiot to let her go." Dinah says sternly walking back in the cafeteria to Lauren
Camila just stands there thinking well that is until Arian sneaks up behind her and scares the fuck out of her by screaming for no apprent reason
Camila jumps back an Ariana starts laughing hysterically
"Dude why?!" Camila asks annoyed
"I'd say I'm sorry but that'd be a lie, I had to you were off in your own world. What's going on Mils?" Ariana asks now concerned
"I need to win Lauren over buy I'm scared" Camila whispers
"Listen, I know you're scared about losing your reputation but seriously Camila how many of these friends are you gonna keep after high school? I mean, I'm literally your only real friend in this school, so who are you worried about losing? Taylor and her groupies? They only talk to you because you're popular. Meanwhile Lauren has been treating you like a queen even though you've treated her like shit. I honestly think Lauren is amazing she's an adorable little puppy but she can also be sexy as hell. You better make your move Milz she's a keeper and I'll stay by your side through it all, just get your girl" Ariana says determined
Camila hugs her tightly "I will, I'll let my heart out"
