"Just try Ralph!" Dinah exclaims desperately
Lauren sighs and shakes her head "Why? Why should I? She's clearly moved on she's dating that fuck boy" she grumbles
"She doesn't even love him! Shawn is just a distraction because she lost you. The only reason you guys broke up was because you didn't spend enough time with each other, nobody cheated or anything. It was mutual you can get her back" Dinah rants she wants camren back together already and she really doesn't like Shawn
Lauren looks Dinah in the eyes "You think I have a chance? Be honest you're her best friend" she asks nervously
"She still loves you I know it" Dinah replies wholeheartedly
After rehearsal Lauren walks up to Camila clearly nervous
Camila and Mani stop talking and Normani walks away with a big smile
"Um I just wanted to know if you could meet me in my hotel room later. To talk I swear just to talk" Lauren rambles while playing with her fingers nervously
Camila gulps but realizes she hasn't talked to Lauren in a long time and she agrees "Yeah sure I'll come over in a couple hours"
Lauren is nervously pacing back and forth in her room "Just calm down Lauren, Dinah said that Camila loves you so just breathe"
Just then a knock brings her out of her thoughts and she jumps startled. She checks her appearance in the mirror then walks to the door and her heart skips a beat at the sight of Camila in her pizza onesie
Camila clears her throat when she notices Lauren's ogling. Lauren blushes and moves aside to let Camila in
Lauren sits on her bed and motions for Camila to do the same
She clears her throat and nervously bites her lip
"Hey, it's okay what'd you want to talk about?" Camila asks sweetly
"Okay, so I know we haven't talked in awhile and the reason behind that is because I'm still not over you"
Lauren hears Camila's breath hitch and Camila is about to speak before Lauren cuts her off
"I know, I know you're with Shawn and I know I should care but I don't. I want you, I love you and I know we can make it work this time. We're working on music videos, doing concerts and a lot of promo for 7/27 so I know we can spend more time together. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me Camz and I love you, I'll always love you. I miss you" Lauren then grabs the velvet box out of her pocket and gets on the floor on one knee "We were together for 3 years Camila and I want that back. This promises that I'm yours forever, this ring means I'll love you forever and be there for you no matter what. When you feel alone or sad you can look at this and remember I'm here for you no matter what. Camila will you accept my promise ring?" Lauren asks sweetly and opens the box she doesn't miss Camila's tears but then tears spill out of her own eyes when Camila shakes her head
She stands up shakily "Why?" She whispers heartbroken
Camila let's out more tears at Lauren's sad expression "I'm with Shawn"
"But you don't love him! You still love me, Dinah told me" Lauren exclaims and tangles her hands in her hair
"Dinah doesn't know everything about me, yeah we're best friends but she's just saying that because she hates Shawn" Camila explains truth be told she really does love Lauren but she's scared. She doesn't want to come out of the closet so she has to keep dating Shawn even if it makes her unhappy
Lauren freezes and her face contorts a pained expression "You..you don't love me?" When all she gets is Camila shaking her head she goes off "I knew it! I fucking knew it! I should've never listened to Dinah!" She yells frustrated and sad rubbing her eyes to stop the incessant tears
Camila stands up and starts walking towards Lauren but stops when she sees Lauren hold her hand up stopping her "I'm sorry"
Lauren just shakes her head and takes a deep breath "I should have known. I mean, you started dating him literally only 2 weeks after we broke up... Just don't talk to me okay?" Lauren asks sadly
Camila's eyes widen "No, come on Lauren we can be friends right? Please I can't lose you completely" She asks desperately
"I can't be friends with you Camila. I can't listen to you talk about him, I can't see you be with him knowing that's how you should be with me. I.. I need to distance myself from you so I can move on like you have" Lauren says finally coming to terms with this
Camila on the other hand can't believe she's losing Lauren completely she doesn't want Lauren to move on
"No, no Lauren please" Camila starts crying harder and Lauren just frowns and shakes her head handing her the box. Camila takes it in shaky hands
"Keep it I can't.." Lauren whispers and her voice cracks she's never been this hurt
Camila looks up into sad grey eyes and she starts considering if losing Lauren is worth being with Shawn and staying in the closet but by the time she starts to slightly change her mind Lauren is already out the door.
She lost the love of her life because she's scared of what people think and she doesn't know if she's ever been this heartbroken
Lauren knocks on Dinah's door loudly waking Dinah up she yanks the door open and is about to yell at whoever woke her up until she sees Lauren's broken state
"You lied..." Are the only words Lauren utters until she calls into Dinah's arms crying
Dinah catches her and let's out a few tears, Lauren hardly ever cries so when she does it's heartbreaking. She rubs her back and carries her to the bed so they can cuddle while she consoles her.
"It hurts..." Lauren croaks out while crying
Dinah brings her closer and whispers "I know" she knows there's nothing she can say to cheer Lauren up right now so she just holds her. She can't believe Camila rejected Lauren... Someone is getting a poly beat down tomorrow. The rest of the night is spent with Lauren crying in Dinah's arms until she falls asleep and with Dinah silently brooding on how she's gonna get revenge on Camila
